Saturday Morning, Detention--Danger Shop

In a surprisingly neat hand, the following list had been posted to the door:

Detention: Saturday, February 23

Eve Levine
John Sheppard
Karal Austreben
Liir Thropp
Teyla Emmagan
Yasutora "Chad" Sado

Vala was grinning as they entered, then locked the door behind them. "Good morning, my minions. Welcome to a life of freedom and debauchery, at least until lunch, when you return to your normal everyday routines, which anywhere other than Fandom would be quite dull."

[ooc: OCD a'comin' is up. Play away! ETA: Oops. So, yeah. I forgot to mention that any tools are fully available and moddable.]

Karal, curls sproinging like crazy after getting wet in the drizzle, leather pants squeaking slightly, arms full of booty, stumbled slightly when he saw Vala. "I suspect that you might be interested in my booty."

"It seems to be gold." He opened his arms as much as he could without dropping it all, to reveal some gold bars and assorted shiny things. "And some jewels. None of it's broken, I think. Do you want me to shake it to be sure?"

Karal nodded and cheerfully started shaking his booty for Vala. It was enthusiastic shaking, and showed off his booty to its best advantage.

Karal pretended to be shocked. "Now, what would I be doing with my arms full of someone else's booty?" he asked, actually managing to sound a little hurt. "The only booty I would ever attempt to sell would be my own."

Chad was...admittedly, a little confused. This was not a rare occasion, of course, but he was slowly coming around to the realization that he had something and it would be in his best interests to not have something. He scratched the back of his head with one hand as his other one held the chest tucked under his arm. One of the swords, which he hadn't used, but had taken, was forgotten at his waist. You see, at the time, he thought it made him look a little dashing, but he'd completely ignored it since them.

"Um, hey. Want to help take this chest off my hands?"

Chad was not much of a bargainer. Not with anything that didn't involve music.

"Well," Chad said, head tilting, "you get this...cool...chest. Full of stuff. It's kinda heavy, but how many people can say, 'hey. I've got a cool chest. Full of stuff?"

He didn't think many people could, but it was just an assumption.

"A collector, then," Chad nodded. "Good. You can add this one."

"Because...."

Chad wasn't sure; nor was he a quick thinker. So a moment passed by.

"...you don't know that it's inferiour quality," he pointed out and then, he shifted a little to allow him to hold it out to her. "Here. See for yourself. It's not that heavy" -- as if he was anyone to be able to effective compare weights here-- "Give it a good look yourself."

"You here to help carry my loot?" John said, grinning at Vala.

"But I like it," he replied, a little sadly. "How 'bout I give you the leather outfit back instead?

"What are you willing to give me for my gold?" John asked curiously.

"Okay, how about a nice cargo ship?" John asked. "That's something I could use."
