Driver's Ed [Wednesday, Period Four]

Today, the Dangershop was set to simulate a garage with a number of workstations. The Bentley was back, this time up on a ramp while Bond worked on the undercarriage. "Good afternoon class," he addressed them, wiping grease off his hands with a rag. "Now that I've got some idea of your driving skills, today we're going to be going over cars themselves."

After giving a short lecture on cars and their history, Bond continued. "Now you'll find a number of handouts describing the various systems and components that make up a car, and we'll be going into more detail on them later in the semester, but for this class we'll be focusing on three systems in particular, the engine, a manual transmission, and most importantly, brake systems."

Bond gestured around the room. "I've marked the places in the handouts pertaining to these systems, and set up each of these workstations around the room with an example of each of the three, and I want you to divide into groups of two or three to examine them and get a feel for them. If ou feel the need to take them apart, there are tools provided."

[ooc: wait for OCD up!]

Turtle was wondering, frowning and scratching her nose a little as she took notes and looked over the handouts, if it was a bad sign that she only knew most of these names because they stocked some car parts at the store.

Amber was standing around, just staring and going over the handouts, as you do when you don't have a clue.

Peter gave her a friendly nod. "Hey."

Dōjima flipped through the packets, waiting for someone to join her.

Jack slipped in next to her. "This seat taken?" he asked with a grin that was more "SQUEEECAAARS" and not idiotic. Really.

Sam was looking at the workstations and feeling much better about this week's lesson than last week's. He might not have to shrink himself down for any of this.

Marco was not looking forward to this. "Pair up?"

Peter gave the inside of the car a thoughtful look. "Yep. There they are."

Amber was doing the same thing. "I can't tell what is what." She held up the handout again. "Everythin' looks different with grease and stuff on it."

Jack examined the car. Wow. Someone's been a bit lax on the maintenance. Or at least the cleaning! He absently reached out for a rag.

Packets? What packets?

Dawn was staring into the inside of the car and holding a wrench.

This perhaps did not bode well.

Aravis was actually avoiding the cars today, hiding off to the side and sniffling pathetically. This would be hard enough if she wasn't sick.

Deadpool was more than happy that he had no clue how the cars worked beyond a basic knowledge of how to plan a car bomb.

He had a fun life, right?
