Fandom Invasions Class #7 (Thursday period 3)

When the students filed into the Danger Shop they found two young girls standing with John in the usual lecture spot.

"Hi," the older one said, bouncing a little on her toes. "I'm Susannah Lynn and this is my half-sister Grace. Dad asked us to help him with this class since it's all about us.

"See, there was this big swirling thing, a..... vortex?" She looked up at John for confirmation of the word, grinning when he nodded and then continuing. "And a bunch of us kids got pulled through it and came to Fandom and got to meet our parents before they were our parents. It was really freaky and a little scary, but it was also a lot of fun." She giggled. "Seeing everybody's face when they realised we were their kids was really really funny.

"It was so much fun, that Dad decided that you should get a chance to play too! Isn't that great?" She turned and looked up at John again. "This is where you take over, right?"

John smiled and nodded. "It is. Thanks, Susannah." He addressed the class. "Fandom is always throwing the unexpected at you. And sometimes that isn't a hostile invasion. Sometimes it's the next generation. The object this class isn't to fight the invaders, but look after them. Keep them amused, fed, make sure they go to bed on time... you know. Be parents. And then make sure they get back to where they're supposed to be."

Grace pulled on John's pantleg. "Daddy? I wanna colour!"

John picked her up and smiled wryly at the class. "Sometimes it's easier to just beat something up."

[ooc: wait for ocd is up! Have at it.]

Funny how you actually looked forward to seeing your AU kids when you know they were leaving at the end of class. As much as Dick liked the kid he had last time he sort of hoped that this vortex had a better future for him. Cause being married to Madison? So not an option.

"Hi, Daddy."

The little girl who approached Dick was tiny and blonde. And was wearing a tee-shirt from one of Dick's favorite bands.

Aw, man. This one was even cuter than the last kid!

"Heeeeey." Dick said, crouching down so he was eye level with the kid. He was never going to get used to someone calling him Daddy. "Er...Daddy's forgotten your name."

In spite of how this was part of a class and all, Peter still wasn't expecting to find any kids with his name on them.

A certain small person seemed determined to shatter this illusion of his, however.

He might have noticed this, since she barrelled into his legs at high speed, and clung there.

Aaaaaaaand this would be Peter, being surprised. Though not unpleasantly so. "Uh - hi there!"

Jack was shaking his head. And looking for a semi to steal to get the heck out of this.

"Hi, Dad!" A bundle of energy shot across the room and latched to Jack's leg. "It's me! JJ!"

"Daddy, what are you looking for?" If Jack turned around, he'd find a little brunette girl regarding him suspiciously.

Wyatt looked around warily. He hadn't had kids pop up the last time, so maybe he was safe this time.

It's Fandom. Like he would actually be that lucky.

Victoria ran over and lifted her arms for a hug. "Hi Daddy!"

Karal and Altra were waiting patiently. Well, Karal was looking worried and Altra was looking distinctly amused, both of which could pass for patiently in the right light.

Altra settled onto the grass, making himself comfortable. :I can't wait to see this.:

A small boy - in an overly large fur hat - walked up to him and smiled. "Hello, father. Hello, Altra. I've never been through a gate before."

Valentine had managed to make it through that particular weekend unscathed. Or, rather, kidnapped by teal deer. So he really had no idea what in the world to expect, here and now.

So if he was a tiny bit fidgety, well, that wasn't much different from the norm, but at least for once he had a reason to be antsy.

"UncaValentine!" There was a short humanish thing trying to hug a Valentine. And possibly trying to climb, as well.

The girl who stepped out of the vortex was oddly precocious. Her curly brown hair reached to her waist, and she looked around the room as if she were cataloguing its contents for her own purposes.

The smile she gave Valentine was almost eerily calm. And slightly bemused. "Hullo, Dad."

On her feet were two rabbity-type creatures ...

Marco realized that he had no idea what to do with a young child and was dreading when his showed up.

Jenny glanced around warily, hoping no one would show up for her. Just a nice, restful class period in the park waiting for her possible future kids to not show up.

Yeah, no such luck. A little boy yelled, "Mommy!" and ran up to hug her legs. "Mommy you're not dead anymore!"

Well, there was no doubting which kid was his. Robin stood before the little fishbowl and gazed at the creature within.

"Hi, what's your name?"

The tadpole gurgled happily.

Troy was a little nervous as he waited for whoever was going to show up.

Which was when the young boy, looking maybe ten, eleven years old, came through the vortex. "Hey, Dad," he said, smiling, as he came up to Troy; there was something in his eyes that made him look older than his apparent years. "How's it going?"

Eve having a kid? Um... no. Not happening.

Or apparently it was.
