Library [10/15]

Sam was aware that there were no classes this week, but that wasn't about to stop him from opening the library. If nothing else, it gave him a day to work without having to worry about leaving for anything.

Sam went through his morning ritual of checking his e-mail while waiting for the coffee he'd had to kick in.

Second Period [10/15]

Sam checked through the student records to see if anyone had overdue books and required a smackdown.

Third Period [10/15]

Sam was somewhere in the stacks, putting books away. He'd come back out if he heard a noise.

Sometime while Sam was away from the desk, a stack of thick books (that needed to be checked in), a large cup of coffee, and three chocolate chip cookies appeared, alongside an envelope that said: FOR SAM in very big letters.

Then WINCHESTER, written as an afterthought.

When Sam came back out to grab another group of books, it was the coffee he noticed first. The cookies and the stack of books kind of gave away who had stopped by, and the writing on the envelope just confirmed it.

He got the books checked in first, not wanting Dawn to accidentally end up overdue, and shoved one of the cookies into his mouth in a style Dean would be proud of before opening the envelope and starting to read the letter inside.

And then he nearly choked on the cookie, and blushed bright red.

Sam stared at the letter, and the contents, and then stared some more. It was going to be a long, long afternoon.

Technically, the library was closed for lunch, to everyone except Thursday and the aides. But Sam wouldn't mind visitors today.

Sam was quietly reading something big and dusty-looking.

Sure there were no classes, but it wouldn't be a Monday without Peter stopping by in fourth period to say hi to his friend Sam.

Peter didn't want to interrupt Sam, but he figured a hi couldn't hurt. He cleared his throat to see if Sam noticed.

Having finished his reread of the first few Adolescent Magicians books, Ronan came by the library to drop them off and pick up the next few.

"Hey!" Sam said when he looked up and spotted Ronan. "How's it going?"

"Pretty well," Ronan said, smiling. He held up the books he had in hand. "Just bringing some books back, looking to grab the next ones in the series."

Fifth Period [10/15]

Sam took a long sweep through the library to clean up before he had to close.

Waaay in the back, he'd probably find Dawn draped sideways over a squashy chair, dangling her leg over the arm and swinging it idly while she read, apparently dressed very demurely in a long peasant skirt and v-neck sweater.

Sam only had a little cleaning up to do, which was a good thing since he nearly dropped everything he was carrying when he came across Dawn in the back. Her letter was still fresh in his mind, and he couldn't help but stare and try to see if he could notice any kind of outlines beneath her clothes.

"Hi," she grinned up at him. He wouldn't be see any outlines, but there was a very good reason for that. "Busy day?"
