It'd been a while since Cameron had bugged the library staff (because god knows he'd actually come to check out a book) so he decided to drop by before his class that day started.

He grinned when he noticed Izzy was on call today as he hadn't talked to her in a while and there was something he had promised to let her know. "Yo, Izzy!"

Isabel waved at Cam then went back to glaring at the phone. "I don't care. It was clearly stated in all the emails. Delivery on Friday the thirteenth. We need it for Saturday."

"Yes. It better be."

"Fine. Thank you."

She hung up the phone and sighed. "Sometimes I really, really wish I could drink."

"Drinking rarely solves anything," Cameron pointed out. "What's up?"

"I know. But the vendors are driving me to it," Isabel explained. "Prom stuff mostly. I think everything is under control? But come Saturday night, that could change."

"Oh? Dress related issues or something infinitely bigger?" he paused, realising that declarations like that might possibly be dangerous. "Not that dress issues aren't disastrous on their own." He guessed so anyway.

"Dress issues are resolved," she grinned. "I'm just trying to make sure the gondolas get here on time."

Both eyebrows went up. "Wow. StuCo's going really full out this year. There's going to be actual boat trips or are they just decoration?"

"There will be boat trips," Isabel said happily. "Granted, just in the pond. But still, the thought's there. Of course now I'm wondering if we shouldn't have just programmed the Danger Shop so it would seem like we were really there."

"That could have been awesome," Cameron had to agree. "But it'd also just be Danger Shop and not actually real. I'm sure what you guys have planned will be heaps better."

"Hopefully," she said. "I'm having fun with the planning, but at the same time, I'll be glad when it's over."

Isabel leaned on the counter and shot Cam a wicked grin. "So is Veronica coming to town for prom? Do you need the latest Cosmos for new ideas?"

Cameron groaned. "So you can tell her all about it again?" he shook his head. "But yeah, she's coming. It'd be a sad prom if she wasn't."

"Sorry," Isabel laughed. "She appreciated it though. I'm glad she's coming. It'll be good to see her."

"It more sounded like mocking from where I was standing," he argued, but he didn't seem to mind much. "Are you going with Greg?"

"Um, actually, no," she said, her face falling a little. "We broke up a few weeks ago. I think I'll probably go alone."

Cameron winced. "Crap. I'm sorry," he sighed. "You okay?"

Isabel shrugged. "I'm not thrilled, but it was probably for the best. My life's been a bit complicated lately."

He tilted his head, regarding her for a moment. "Anything you want to talk about?"

"Long story short? We found a way back to our planet. So we went," she said, reciting the facts emotionlessly. "Through an insanely lucky coincidence, I wound up back here about five days after I left. Except for me? It had been six months in a war zone. Max and Michael are still there, and I have until August when the timelines sync up to figure out how to get back there."

"Geez," he rubbed a hand through his hair, unsure of what the right words were in reaction to that. "That... sucks. How did you get there?"

"Tell me about it," Isabel sighed. "We got there by way of a wormhole. Opened from their end. In theory, it shouldn't be a big deal to get back. If I can let them know I'm here. But I don't have a way of doing that. And they don't have a clue that I'm back here." Issues with the prom vendors suddenly paled next to this.

Cameron crouched in front of the desk, leaning his elbows on the edge as he considered it. "Have you talked to Sam or maybe even Aeryn? They might have ways of communication over such long distances. Uh, that's assuming you have an idea now as to where exactly your world is."

"It's an idea. I just have to be really careful how ever I go about. There's other issues to worry about."

"But enough about me," Isabel said, smiling brightly. Yes, denial wasn't just a river in Eygpt. "It seems like everyone is getting their acceptance letters. Have you heard anything?"

He blinked at the rapid subject change, but he didn't want to push her into talking if she didn't feel like it either. Plus, he'd really been wanting to tell her this.

"Actually I have," he said, trying to be all mysterious. It didn't really work though as he was a dork and it was hard not to smile.

The smile gave it away and Isabel bounced around the desk to hug him. "I told you you'd do it! Congratulations!"

He chuckled and hugged her back, maybe a bit tighter than he normally would. "Thank you."
