Tremble Foolish Mortals: The Gods and You , Class Six [Period 5, Thursday]

Once again the class was meeting in the Danger Shop, which was set up to look like the kind of television studio boardroom you'd find all over Los Angeles. Ares looked especially sulky today.

"My half brother Hercules," he said. "Was a schulb. Half-god, half-mortal, and just because he had one of those strength of twenty men deals going on, thought he was better than both. The he gets picture deals, he gets television shows, I mean, a guy can't watch Aeon in peace anymore without coming across the schmuck."

"So today I'm not going to talk about Hercules," he touched a control, causing holograms of several different people to appear. "Since these television writers apparently know more about members of my family than I do, they're going to talk about Hercules."

He waved at the students. "Go on you little hellbeasts, have fun."

Rob was here. Sure, he had a passing resemblance to a former Art teacher, and a former Gym teacher before that, but the air and the fishing gear threw the look off. "Alright kids, spit it out, the fish are jumping!"

Liz was glaring at Rob as if this was all somehow his fault, or like she'd like to strangle him. Or possibly both. It was probably only a coincidence that she looked a lot like a certain alumni of the school only with a powersuit and a brown wig. Beth looked out over the student body and, well, checked out their student bodies. Surely there had to be an of-age boy among all this testosterone. Any resemblance she might have bore to a certain principal was purely hilarious coincidence.

Billy wasn't sure how he felt about being checked out by someone who was gorgeous, but looked a bit too much like the principal for comfort. He was of age actually. "So, uh, what's your job on the show?"

Melissa was looking perky, efficient and homicidal, at lesat when she was around Rob. She was also regarding the students with a kind of horror. "Hi. I'm not responsible for the content of the show. And I can't get you anyone's autograph."

Jerry was cleaning his knives, making sure they were ready for any possible combat action.

He eyed the students warily, wondering if they'd be worthy opponents in paintball. It was all about strategy and a good soldier knew strategy.

Paul, dressed in a tacky leisure suit took a drink from his flask and gave the female students what he thought was a charming smile. He smelled of cheap liquor, sweat, and desperation.
