Tremble Foolish Mortals: The Gods and You , Class Six [Period 5, Thursday]

Once again the class was meeting in the Danger Shop, which was set up to look like the kind of television studio boardroom you'd find all over Los Angeles. Ares looked especially sulky today.

"My half brother Hercules," he said. "Was a schulb. Half-god, half-mortal, and just because he had one of those strength of twenty men deals going on, thought he was better than both. The he gets picture deals, he gets television shows, I mean, a guy can't watch Aeon in peace anymore without coming across the schmuck."

"So today I'm not going to talk about Hercules," he touched a control, causing holograms of several different people to appear. "Since these television writers apparently know more about members of my family than I do, they're going to talk about Hercules."

He waved at the students. "Go on you little hellbeasts, have fun."

[ooc: OCD threads coming up. People who volunteered to help run Hercules staffers can find icons here]

"All righty then. Well, Hercules is the main character of our television show. He's the quintessential hero; going about saving the lives of people everywhere, battling constantly with his half-brother, Ares." Jerry explained. "Anything real specific you'd like to know?"

"Why did he and his half-brother battle?"

"The usual good verse evil conflict." Jerry answered matter-of-factly. "Ares didn't like that Zeus favored Hercules over him. So, any chance he gets, he tries to destroy Herc."

"So which one is good and which one is evil?"

"Well, that all depends on your point of view." Jerry explained. "But, according to our show, Hercules is the hero, the champion of good and Ares is the villain in the story."
