Arts & Crafts Workshop #4, Camp Dining Hall, 06.12.06, Afternoon
[OOC: Posted early because I love. And didn't fall asleep while writing. GO ME! Workshop Info Post!
Oh, and for my own sanity, Tick will now only have regular office hours on Tuesday and Thursday. Feel free to make an appointment via voicemail for other days or contact me OOCly.]
When everyone was seated, The Tick smiled. "Welcome, campers! Remember, this week is the Student Art Fair! Each of you will be submitting something to it, be it one of your projects for this workshop or something you've done in your free time. In addition to that, you'll be making something for the entrance to the fair."
"Each of you will be making a bouquet of paper flowers. On the front table here, we have a wide selection of tissue paper for you to use, paper clips, wire, garden stakes, and vases hand made by me to put them in! You also have instructions at your tables, but it's easy enough." Tick took a blue piece of tissue paper to demonstrate. "You just fold like so, then clip like so, attach the wire for a slight stem like so, pull and scrunch and fluff like so, and wrap the wire around the garden stake and viola! You have a paper flower! You'll be making a bunch of these."
"And for your scrapbooks, I went ahead and got your pictures developed at the Kwik Stop. Take your pictures and work them in! Scissors and glue are at your tables."

She was looking a little distracted, really.
Re: Paper Flowers! [WS4]
She read the assignment and tried to get to work, but her fight with Walter kept coming back to her. Just when she'd think she was getting it, her hands would shake, and the tissue would rip.
A pile of ruined flowers slowly built up at her feet.

Scrapbooking! [WS4]

Re: Scrapbooking! [WS4]
For the most part, putting them into her scrapbook was a lot of fun, remembering catching Tim (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/884754.html?thread=34849554#t34849554) at the diner, Anakin (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/635379.html?thread=38843891#t38843891) and his little glowy magic thing (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/635379.html?thread=38789619#t38789619), and post-canoe-tip Isabel. (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/635379.html?thread=38783219#t38783219). Cuddles (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/635379.html?thread=38810099#t38810099) was, of course, adorable, and Alphonse (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/635379.html?thread=38819827#t38819827) had some pretty good shots (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/635379.html?thread=38806515#t38806515) in there, too.
All the scenery shots turned out very well, too.
Oh, and then the pictures of Jude (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/635379.html?thread=38814451#t38814451). There's no way she can't flip through those and paste them in without a small, slightly dopey smile on her face and a pretty prominant flush in her cheeks. Especially that last one (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/635379.html?thread=38883571#t38883571). That one goes in later....Ahem.
Then she gets to Ranma's pictures, and she bites her lips as she shifts through them. The one of him blushing (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/635379.html?thread=38795251#t38795251) is actually pretty cute, but, in retrospect, it makes her feel really sad. Then there's the one he took of her (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/635379.html?thread=38798067#t38798067), her eyes wide and surprised and her cheeks very, very red. She wasn't blushing when that happened was she? Sakurazaki frowns. That one might not be going in. Two more (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/635379.html?thread=38804467#t38804467), one just regular and the other in a fighting pose, and, despite herself, the fighting pose makes her grin as she pastes it down. And then, finally, the one of them together (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/635379.html?thread=38817267#t38817267)...It makes Sakurazaki grow really quiet as she looks at it, a very strange lump in her throat. That one's going in later, too.
Finished with most of the pictures, Sakurazaki ends Arts and Crafts in a much more somber mood than how she started it.

Re: Scrapbooking! [WS4]
She also took the pictures of Sam, Janet, Elizabeth, Bridge, Sawyer, Peter (the really nice English one who had enjoyed her cookies), Tyler, and Paige that she'd
*handwavily*taken with the disposable camera later in the week, and put them in as well. Also, she put in a picture of some of the weetiny kitties, including Goldilocks and Silver Fox (http://www.myrtlebeachpets.com/images/gray-and-blonde.jpg), and her new little fluffball.
She surrounded the picture of her new kitten with glitter. It seemed appropriate, after all.
[OOC: Pictures of the people listed above are handwaved with permission.]

Re: Talk to Tick [WS4]
As way of explanation, Tick said, "This just seems more appropriate for this workshop than a regular organizer. Anyway, here you go, Sakurazaki! They are the seeds that will grow into the Apple Tree of Memories when you get your copies made. Share those apples, and enjoy the Fruit of Friendship!"

Display Your Projects [WS4]
There will be a link to this thread on Friday so people know what the entrance to the fair looks like.
Re: Display Your Projects [WS4]
She might keep indicating the vase like she's one of those prize girls on a game show.

Re: Display Your Projects [WS4]
And the really pretty blue vase that Tempe had picked to put her flowers in? Made the flowers look even better.

Re: Display Your Projects [WS4]
A few weren't swaying in a fake breeze, and that one at left center was absolutely not occasionally humming a tuneless melody. Really. It's just your imagination.
