Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, Saturday, All Day
It was the start of a new term, and there were some new people around, so it was time for a picnic! The sun was shining and the last bits of summer weather were still upon the island, so a few of the lawn's sprinklers insisted on doing their spraying duty no matter how much Zoe tried to turn them off. In less frustrating news, the food was ready, the nametags were out, and everything was set up for a lovely picnic day!

Not because she was hungover; Stark actually helped her out with all of that because she remembered he could just do that these days. It was just, you know, all about putting out a certain vibe...

Rest, Meetra had said.
And Kreia had, for a moment. Truly. As the Academy crumbled around her, as the wound that laid at its core... closed, a peaceful silence settled over her--
--then whisked violently away. She opened her eyes, and found herself still crumpled. Not on quaking stone, but on green grass, a blue sky above her. The sound of birds.
The Force.
As Kreia sat up on the lawn, she felt confusion, then despair, then anger. Foiled, even in this? What a travesty.

So, she settled in with a plate full of food and (of course) a squishy in hand, ready to enjoy every moment.

He was also going to miss his fellow knights back in Daventry, too, but, well, they'll (hopefully...eeesh) be there for him when he had that degree, so it was all good. Balance! Or something!

(Actually, he had been working on an arts and crafts project this morning and fallen asleep in that, but, details.)

Granted, he was starting to feel more comfortable with the idea that no one would say anything (except for maybe a hello or other pleasantry), but you never knew! Sometimes, all it took was just the one!

Was he going back for seconds? Thirds? Better not to ask.

It was kind of a lot, man, you know? But it was good. It was really good. It was...
"Noctra! No!"
Pretty much as soon as he set her down, the little lady was making a mad dash for one of those sprinklers, and Prompto, who had fought gods, thank you, did managed to catch up with her and scoop her up before he had a soaking wet baby on his hands. When he picked her up, he sort of flipped her over upside-down, much to her delighted shrieking, and then put her upright against his hip with a stern look.
She just giggle at him, and that sternness faltered.
"Okay," he said. "You can play in the sprinklers after we eat something, but then it's straight home to change into dry clothes, you hear me? Okay. Good. Come on."

It might, Thor argued, unreasonably, like the very unreasonable god he was.
Don was surprised when he looked around the picnic to be hit by almost--nostalgia. Had it really been just a few months ago that he was brand new and confused? Weird.

It wasn't like it was a formal party or anything.

He didn't exactly appreciate having to avoid the sound of the sprinklers, though they were easy enough to keep out of the way of. He just hoped they didn't ruin his shoes; he hadn't been aware that something more waterproof would be necessary...

She was succeeding, at least while she ate. She'd care less once her plate of food was finished though.

whose player would ping in latermade their way to the school grounds and the welcome picnic, complete with comical dodging of the lawn sprinklers and all.Watts, of course, immediately set about going over the food tables, picking out items to stuff in his pockets and other things to eat right away.
