Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, Saturday, All Day

It was the start of a new term, and there were some new people around, so it was time for a picnic! The sun was shining and the last bits of summer weather were still upon the island, so a few of the lawn's sprinklers insisted on doing their spraying duty no matter how much Zoe tried to turn them off. In less frustrating news, the food was ready, the nametags were out, and everything was set up for a lovely picnic day!

"Paycheck, Starbucks, IKEA," said Summer, with a wistful sort of sigh as she pointedly took a drink from her giant Perk to-go cup, "what more could a woman want, right?"

She did, of course, notice Yelena's attention shift toward the dog and she smiled a little.

"So that one's yours?"

“Yes, the one who is huge dork of a dog and will have to walk a mile until she’s dry,” Yelena said and while the words sounded like a complaint the smirk said otherwise. “As for what else a woman could want? Somebody else to put all that shit from IKEA when it arrives next week.”

"It's always good to check," aaid Summer, "you never know when a new dog at one of these things might just be someone turned into one. And, hey! Now you've got a goal to help get those wheels unstuck. See who you can sucker into building all your furniture for you."

And looking like she did, Summer doubted Yelena would have any problem with that.

The looks didn't hurt but the mouth was usually a deterrent when it came to getting help.

But that didn’t stop Yelena from looking around the party to see who might be an easy mark. “Any chumps here who would fall for such a task?”
