Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, Saturday, All Day

It was the start of a new term, and there were some new people around, so it was time for a picnic! The sun was shining and the last bits of summer weather were still upon the island, so a few of the lawn's sprinklers insisted on doing their spraying duty no matter how much Zoe tried to turn them off. In less frustrating news, the food was ready, the nametags were out, and everything was set up for a lovely picnic day!

“Are the pizza’s made by gremlins too?” Helena joked. “Fanny. Have you no shame? Where are your manners?”

Fanny apparently had no manners as she accepted the belly rub and looked at Yelena as of this completely normal.

"Not that I'm aware of," Don said. "The guy who runs it looks pretty human?" Well. He was half-human, at least.

Manners and shame were surely for dogs who weren't getting belly rubs. "Ah, she's a good girl. It's not her fault sprinklers and belly rubs are fun, is it?" he asked Fanny. "Is it?"

“Fine. Just cheese and pepperoni. No apples,” she promisedd.

Fanny’s belly was now on full display with her tongue hanging out the side of her mouth as she gazed at her owner.

“I’m not taking you in public anymore,” Yelena joked.

"You can throw mushrooms on there, unless you're not into that," Don told her, and then glanced down at Fanny and joked, "She looks real worried."

“She has me wrapped around her paw and she knows it,” Yelena admitted.

This is why there will be three dog beds in her house.

"I'm afraid I'm about to hurt her feelings," Don admitted, "but I have to straighten up or my leg is gonna cramp. I'm very sorry," he told Fanny. "There will be more belly rubs later." Because he wasn't a monster.

No hurt feelings but as soon as Don stood up, Fanny rolled over on her feet and attempted to lean gently on Don’s leg, gazing up at him in adoration.

“This is how it starts. One belly rub and she’s your best friend forever,” Yelena said with a chuckle. “I think her feelings are just fine. Franny, come over here and stop making a mess.”
