Was anyone looking slightly worried about the pantry ingredients and refrigerated chests Anakin had hauled out the park? Good. You should be worried. There were also three cooking stations set up, and three stacks of terrible, eye-searing shirts in front of Anakin.

Someone stop him from watching food competitions shows into the early hours, gang. "Today will be a cook off!" he announced far-too-loudly through the megaphone. "As always you will work in teams. Your teams will be divided into pairs and as that pair you will work on an appetizer, then tag in the next pair to complete a main dish, and finally your third team pair will make a dessert!"

That seemed too easy.

"You will be bound together like a three-legged race."

There we go.

"And while the food supplies are overwhelming in the choices available to you, the only equipment you have will be what you would find in a typical college freshman's dorm, or in the home of a recently divorced man. Listen for your names! Don't use your powers!"

As Raiden whipped off his old shirt to change into his team shirt, he wondered aloud, "Can I get the other ones in my size, too?"

Lydia was very delicately holding her new shirt at arm's length, pinched between two fingers, asking of the universe, "Do I have to put this on?"

This shirt isn't even that bad, Lydia. It's just some shrimp.

"I wouldn't incur the wrath of the Dean of Students," Kamala suggested in a sotto tone, as she put her shirt on over her regular outfit. "Just put it on over your outfit like me. At least our clothes won't get totally stained."

"I certainly wouldn't take off my dress to put it on," Lydia agreed, even if some of the gentlemen removing their shirts was...not objectionable. "But look at it!" She shook the shirt delicately at Kamala. It continued to just be some shrimp.

Look, the men taking off shirts weren't bad at all. Sometimes shrimp is the price you pay!

"Maybe you should make an extra mess on it so you can show everyone how much you don't like it?" Kamala suggested. "And then it will cover up the shrimp."

"You know, if nothing else these things are great for expanding my wardrobe," Don mused as he buttoned up his shirt. He was really more a t-shirts guy, but hey, a free shirt was a free shirt.

I was a cabbage lighthouse, Thor complained, and Don just laughed.

Since cinnamon roll Sundays had been going well and Boc was feeling generally more comfortable here, he figured he could start venturing out a little more again.

He realized his mistake as soon as he noticed all the hubbub going on in the park and remembered too late how it could be in the park sometimes.

And, of course, before he could go scampering off to the shop for safety, his name was being called and someone was janding him a terrible shirt.

"Oh," he whimpered, "bother..."

"It will be fine," Stark assured him. "He's ridiculous but not really harmful."

There was another faint whimpering sound, and Boc lifted his eyes somewhat witheringly at Stark.

And then he looked pointedly down at the shirt in his hands, before those baleful eyes returned with the utmost skepticism at this bold and clearly refutible claim.

"At least it won't upset you if this one gets damaged?" Stark tried. "Or you could tear it up later. Perhaps for patches? Or... cleaning rags? They're usually worse than this, you know."

Honestly, the things he did for love. Watts replaced his usual layers with the monstrosity that had been chosen for him.

Stewart considered his shirt with carefully narrowed eyes. Shame he couldn't think of anyone who might barter for shirt with shrimps on it, because that was a person he would want to know.

Then, after some deliberation, he was unhooking his overalls so he could put the shirt on under them, before hooking them back and feeling slightly better about the whole thing that way.

Now to decide: collar popped? Or nah?

He was popping one side for now.

"No fucking jackalope shirt, that's for sure," Arden noted, sporting a hot dog one and an expression that begged for patience.

"A decided downgrade," Stewart agreed, before taking a moment to access just how Arden's own shirt might be suiting her before a smirk tugged at his face. "Although not...entirely devoid of a certain kitchy charm. I suppose it's really, then, a question of what you're truly feeling embodied by....a shrimp," he gave a dramatic dusting off of his shoulders, since so few of his shirt could even be seen with the overalls over them. "Or..." The smirk tugged a little more. "A weiner."

"Are you?" Arden asked, eyebrow arching. "Feeling truly embodied? By a shrimp?"

Arden, don't challenge the man. His canon goes out of its way to assert, several times, that he does not have anything to worry about in the 'shrimp vs weiner' debate.

You know what? It was comfortable, didn't feel in any way targeted against her, and her grandmere would have despised it. Eleanor could definitely live with this shirt.

Granted, the bar was low to begin with.

It was almost like Vi had a decent idea of how Steph's mind worked.

Vi was absolutely right.

"Oh for fuck's sake," Arden sighed, not even a little surprised. Disappointed yes, but not surprised.

The Dean had clearly overheard her conversation with Mr. Skywalker about him being absolutely bugfuck.
