There were only two piles in front of Anakin, both in glaring shades of red, white and blue, and more disturbingly, matching piles of wigs.

"Welcome to Fandom Gladiator," Anakin said. "Early thanks to Rosa for already procuring all of the event equipment. Today you will be divided into two teams--Gold and Blue--to fight for the glory of the island."

Or something.

"Since the costumes are more elaborate--" that was one was of looking at it, "--I have also added changing areas, and mirrors to adjust your wigs."

No amount of adjustment would make these work, gang. Just look at Beaker. It was a looooost cause.

"Have fun, don't get hurt! Powers are allowed."

Which might negate the "don't get hurt" clause slightly.

Unlike usual weeks, today's outfits are divided into women's and men's attire. Pick the one that best suits you or is funniest and your crispy, crispy 90s hair.

She could maybe do without the wig, but, hey, she'd had worse done to her hair before.

Yeah, no, Libby would not be sending pictures of the 'shirts' to Zo this week, and, in fact, she was looking at hers and seriously considering trying to actually pull the religion card, because running around in this was absolutely against hers.

He felt so powerful and masculine! And if he felt it enough, that meant he tooootally looked it, too??

Bikinis had started becoming all the rage among girls back home in Eleanor's time, so while she felt it was a little out of place in a community event, she didn't think too much of it. A little awkward and self-conscious, but if everyone else was in one, too, then it wasn't so bad, and her reaction to having to suit up was just about dead center of the range of reactions there could have been.

The wig, however, was a bit more confusing for her.

It was deeply unfair that the suit that provided more overall coverage had barely any where it mattered most. So, much like Clare, Vi would be wearing a combination of both.

The Joust has you each armed with a pugil stick and up on a platform 8 feet in the air--but don't worry, there's a big puffy crash pad underneath you. The object is to knock the other person off of their pedestal. Annnnnnnnnnd....go!

You each get into your hamster balls. Graham and Clare are trying to hit the sensors and score points. Jon and Libby are trying to block their opponents from rolling over the sensors. You have 60 seconds!

Round Three: Human Cannonball!

Um. Human and Eagle Cannonball! Sam and Vi, you're up!

For the first round, Vi is waiting on a pedestal with a foam shield. Sam has three attempts to knock her off the platform via swinging on a rope and aiming at her! Then we reverse! Surely this will go well!

Round Four: Hang Tough!

Two on two for added mayhem! Gray and Steve R are going against Rosa and Arthur. There are 54 rings hanging in midair. The goal is to get to the other side without falling off or one of the other team members pulling you down! Gray, please don't fall asleep here.
