Detention - Saturday 4/22

[ooc: Detention is being posted in fandomhigh as usual for consistency, however, detention activites are occurring in town at the Town Hall.]


Lorelai is waiting in the foyer of the town hall promptly at 8am. She's looking longingly at the coffee and doughnuts spread that Luke thoughtfully provided while sipping her herbal tea and eating a banana.

She checks names off a clipboard as people arrive.

"Okay gang. This detention can be as easy or as hard as you make it," she says once everyone has arrived. "If you put a little effort in to getting the work done, you can be out of here in more than enough time to enjoy the prom. If you don't, well, you're only hurting yourself."

Lorelai tapes up a list of information that people might need.

[ETA: I turned off comment screening so that townies who have stuff for helping to set up the prom can poke in. That would probably be best under the Other Misc Decoration thread. Also, StuCo members and faculty who might have need of being involved in set up are more than welcome!]

Callisto totally wasn't a pryomaniac. She just happened to appreicate a sanctioned opportunity to burn stuff.

"Gotcha," Callisto nodded. "I'll just go start setting up the area so we don't burn down the hall then?"

"I'll be just outside." Callisto went outside to start clearing the area of anything flammable which wasn't going to deliberately set on fire.

There were a lot of reasons why Tex was walking around town and it was best not to ask, but she halted as she noticed Callisto working. "Do I want to know?"

Bel conjured a small fireball in his hand. "This won't take long," he said to Callisto, grinning.

Bel grinned. "This'll be fast and easy," he said, bouncing a small fireball in his hand.

"Nothing will go wrong. At least, not any more wrong than it usually is in Fandom." Zero considered. "If we get the support poles up, can you float the silk over them?"

With a flap of her hand, Alanna made the silk float. "Yup. And "any more that it usually is" is a rather large amount of wrong still."

"Think positively." Zero eyed the floating silk. "Swerval. Let's get this thing done." She grabbed a couple of poles and started trying to figure out how they fit together.

Archie's not much good at pitching tents, but he's done enough work on the gundecks and with slow match to know that he won't set himself on fire with matches, so he heads out that way.

Just, nobody give him a lighter.

Chloe's pretty sure she won't set herself on fire doing anything. Note the key phrase "pretty sure."
