Rory stumbled in just before first period and opened the library.

[And then her player went to class. Back around 4 EST for interaction]

And it's Rory, so that's not untrue.

"Gifties!," Angela said, enthusiastically.

She grinned at the CD, and her smile got bigger at the book. "See, if I had just had this eight months ago..." But when she opened the necklace and the note, her eyes got misty.

She gave Rory an impulsive hug. "It's beautiful. Thank you."

"You're totally welcome," Rory said, returning the hug with a smile. "Happy seventeenth." She made a face. "I feel so old, for some reason."

"Why, because you've been seventeen for six whole months?" Angela asked. "Though ... yeah, I guess I feel kind of old too. We can see R rated movies ad in a month we'll be seniors."

She's making notes for her journalism project, chewing on her pen occasionally.

Now she's trying to study but keeps getting distracted by mor einteresting things. Like, say, lint on the carpet.

Zero came in and started a war of wills with the cabinet where the library aides' contracts were kept.

Angela blinked at Zero. "Are you having a staring contest with the filing cabinet? Who's winning?"

"Library won't let me open it." Zero attempted to reach for the filing cabinet's handle, but her hand stopped after about an inch. "This is very annoying."

"That's...weird. Is it mad at you?" Rory asked.

"My contract's in there. It probably thinks I'm going to try to set it on fire again."

Parker waves to Rory as she comes in. "Hey. Anything new going on?" She took a space on the spinny chair and gave it a twirl.

"Oh, thanks for letting me borrow the, um, thing," Rory said, holding up a small bag that jingled. "It went over well. And it led to agreement on certain things."
