Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

It was Fall! It was stupidly humid today and it was about a billion degrees, but the picnic area was full of apples, pumpkins, and those decorative corn stalks that looked cute until it rained. There was food on tables--including more Cup Noodles than strictly necessary--and chairs scattered throughout the lawn in front of the castle.

Welcome, new and old, to Fandom High! It's only gonna get weirder.

[This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Lexi got a smile from Stark, because Lexi was tiny and adorable.

Kitty got a "Did you see the schedule? It seemed...off."

"Off how?" Kitty asked, which should tell him whether she'd looked at the schedule.

"You should look," Stark said, very helpfully. "I have the wrong class."

That was not unheard of.

"What class did you get?"

"Superheroing."

Help, Kitty. He needed saving now.

"Nooo," she said slowly, "that's my class."

This happened to other people, Stark.

OTHER people.

"It's meant to be," Stark agreed. "But they gave it to me."

And he didn't have the faintest idea how to be a superhero!

"Did you see what I'm teaching?" Kitty wondered. This was what she got for taking this all at face value for years!

"I think you have mine."

Hope you like baking, Kitty.

"Okay," Kitty said, "but no."

"But yes," Stark countered. "I didn't do it. Not my fault."

Stark was inclined to blame Anakin. He'd be wrong, but that's how he was inclined.

"Freaking moose," Kitty said. "I'm going to talk to him first thing."

It would not end well.

Had anyone ever successfully talked to the moose?

"Will that help?"

"I'm sure he'll be reasonable."

No.

A less reasonable moose did not even exist.

"I hope so."
