Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

It was Fall! It was stupidly humid today and it was about a billion degrees, but the picnic area was full of apples, pumpkins, and those decorative corn stalks that looked cute until it rained. There was food on tables--including more Cup Noodles than strictly necessary--and chairs scattered throughout the lawn in front of the castle.

Welcome, new and old, to Fandom High! It's only gonna get weirder.

[This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Well, Nina certainly made it easy for Hannibal to find Gladio. He waited till they were done, then approached with a smile.

“Gladio, hello.” He held out his hand. “Dr. Hannibal Lecter. The school has assigned me to help you settle in. Although you seem to have your own welcoming committee. I take it you’ve been here before?”

"No going under the radar around here with that one involved," Gladio noted with fondness as his attention shifted to Hannibal. "Doctor." He took the proffered hand with exactly the firm grip one would expect. "I've been here once or twice for an event or two. This'll be my first time actually sticking around for more than a weekend. Already, I can tell it's going to be an experience."

Granted, he figured as much from what he'd heard from the other two, but it was one thing hearing about it, and something else entirely to start witnessing it with your own two eyes.
