The Library is Open, 3/22 (Wednesday)

Zero has decided to actually do library-related work today. Wonder of wonders. She opens up the library promptly and sets to work, after setting out a box of danishes from Jeff, God of Biscuits and a carafe of coffee behind the collections desk where no one but official library personnel can get to them. She'll be here all day.

((I, however, will probably not be on until late afternoon/eveningish, so I thought I'd better get this up now so people can use the library throughout the day.))

"Not so far, but I still have two classes to go," Peter said. "So. Friday. Same plan as last week, except I actually show this time?"

"Unless you have a different idea." Zero privately hoped the waiters at Ching Tai would keep their muttering about the week before in Chinese.

"I think that works just fine," Peter said. "And the important thing is that we'll both be there."

"Yes," Zero agreed. "And there will be datage. Or else."

"There will be datage. No ifs ands or buts about it. I'm done freaking out, I still have six arms, sure, but we can overlook that for now, and you're you. I'll be there," Peter said.

"Trust me, I met the mob one by one," Peter said. "Do you realize how many people want to see us together?"

"Yeah, it's a little scary." Zero leaned toward him and whispered, "You don't think it's a sinister plot?"

As she leaned in, Peter noticed that Zero smelled nice. Not fancy, but definitely nice. Huh. Oh, wait, she said something, too. "It could be. People like involving me sinister plots. That said, best sinister plot ever."

"Oh, I'm not complaining. As sinister plots go, this one gets my approval. I'm just saying."

"I agree. But when they're monologuing their nefarious plot at us as they dangle us over a pit of sharks with laser beams on their heads, we probably won't feel so kindly."

Peter didn't have to think for very long to come up with a list of reasons why he was sure. "Very. And remember, you encouraged it now, so you have nobody to blame but yourself if you get sick of it. Well, I mean, you could blame me, but then I'd just be all dorky at you and it would get you nowhere."
