Political Campaigning [Tuesday, March 21, 4th period]

Josh was sitting behind his desk for all the world like he hadn't been gone for almost a month.

He gave the Campaigning class a welcoming grin when they arrived.

"Hey all," he said, checking his syllabus. "I think we're supposed to be talking about political consultants and other people you hire. It's pretty easy. Hire Bruno Gianelli. It'll cost your soul, but he's a steal at that kind of price."

He kicked his feet onto his desk. "What'd I miss?" He looked around the room. "And, um, Rory--how many days until the election?"

Angel signed in. He looked at Josh warily but he had plenty of things to be wary about.

His chair? As far away from everyone in class as it was possible to be while still being in the room.

Josh raised an eyebrow at Angel's choice of seating in the classroom. Apparently he'd missed a lot.

He smiled. "Who'd they find to sub for me?"

Jake blinked when he realized it was Josh, not Angel, Rory or Logan in front of the class. "...Wow. You came back."

Josh grinned. "I couldn't turn down the opportunity to warp young minds for low pay, Donna." He scrubbed his hands through his hair. "Turns out trying to negotiate peace in the Middle East is just as hard as it looks." He raised an eyebrow. "Did you know they still hate each other? President Bartlet likes to check every couple of years."

He sighed. "Talk about a waste of a month."

Parker's been wondering about something, and she waits to grab Angel on his way out. In the meantime, she smiles at Professor Lyman. "Angel tried to drag himself from his sick bed to teach us. But Janet stopped him."
