"All right," John answers and starts to work. "One assignment coming up."

"Ms. Gilmore, Ms. Sullivan, I have some candies up here if you would like them," Rita called out, looking straight at John.

John stares for a moment before smiling and going back to his work. "I'm sweet enough without the candy," he mumbles under his breath.

Rory went up to Rita's desk and got a little chocolate frog.

She held the wriggling froggie by the leg and brought it back to John.

"I don't want it," she offered.

John takes the proffered frog and stares at it. "Think it's poisoned?"

"Probably not, if it was for me and Chloe," Rory shrugged.

John's still not entirely convinced but it's chocolate and what the hell. So, he unwraps the odd looking frog and pops the chocolate into his mouth.

"Rory, no feeding the animals," Rita barked from her desk.

Rory looked abashed.

"You called me Rory," she frowned. "And he's not an animal yet."

"'Yet' being the key word," Rita replied.

"Such confidence in me, Professor." John smiles again. "I'll do my best to make you proud."

Rita continued to ignore him.

John continued to doodle absently in his notebook. With her lack of action, John begins to wonder if Professor Skeeter missed Wilbur more than he first thought.

So, he laughed at the thought and continued doodling and writing the occaisonal snippet for the assignment.

Rita sighed.

"No laughing."

John sighed too. "It's fun to laugh. Makes the world better. You should try it sometime."

Rita sighed more heavily, picked up her wand and mumbled an incantation, all without actually looking at her target.

John might find himself resembling something that belongs on Constable Fraser's head.

His first thought is that leather would be a better material for hats. His second thought is that hats have very weird shapes.

Being hat is not cool!

Rory offered the hat another chocolate frog.

Hat!John cannot eat the chocolate frog because he is a hat and thus has no mandible, no teeth, no throat, no digestive system and thus no way of eating the candy.

Rory shrugged and took a picture of the hat.

And then stopped, sad, because she didn't know who to send the pictures to.

If John could see, he'd be sad too. As it is, he's a hat and more concerned about keeping people's hair from becoming wet, letting people look stylish, and preventing hat head.

Rory blinked, and put John the hat on her head.

And took a picture.

John is on Rory's head. The only thing he can think of is that Rory must see awesome shampoo because her hair smells good and is soft and he doesn't think that with any hint of a dirty notion.

Rory pondered going on a wee trip to show off her stylish new hat.

John would not mind the wee trip as long as Rory didn't tell everyone that the hat on her head was John. He especially didn't want her telling Jaye because she'd never let him forget.
