The Library (12/16/05)

Janet has no classes today, so she opens up the library, flips on the lights, and plots ways to get revenge on Jack O'Neill. Oh, and she works. Really. She is in no way browsing through webpages and ordering supplies for any future pranks when she goes on vacation.

She also puts up a sign:

RETURN YOUR LIBRARY BOOKS. NOW.
THE STAFF IS GETTING CRANKY.
ALSO: ZERO. MALLET. GET THE IDEA?

THE LIBRARY IS CLOSING EARLY
FOR THE INVESTIGATORS' CLUB MEETING.

"Hi Jack. Paige sent me in here, she told me to tell you I got them all right and that I should get the prize from you." Maia said looking a bit reluctant.

Jack rose and grinned at her. "So you decided against the ten dollar gift certificate to the Emporium?" He came around the table he was sitting at and walked to her side with a smile on his face. "She did tell you what the prizes were, right?" he asked.

Maia looked a little annoyed with Paige not telling her "No she didn't actually." Maia tilted her head at Jack "What are they? Besides the giftcertificate?"

Maia laughed and raised her eyebrow. I am going to kill Paige "Really?" Maia laughed again. "Well thats a prize worth coming to the library for indeed." She smiled softly. "Just a little kiss huh?"

"I wouldn't call anything of mine 'little'," Jack said, chuckling. "But yeah." He stepped close to her. "Are you ready?"

He smiled, and cupped her face in his hand. Leaning down, he brushed her lips with his, slowly increasing the pressure. He tilted his head, and leaned in.

Maia smiled against the kiss and was surprised at her own daring to kiss him back, stroking his cheek with her thumb Maia deepened the kiss a little.

"Okay, okay, the library is not for making out." The librarian folded his arms and glared at them. "Break it up."

Jack glanced up, and didn't step back. "It's a scientific experiement. Not a makeout session."

Maia blushed furiously, glancing up at Jack she backed slowly away from the kiss and his touch. "Sorry." She whispered.

Maia smiled and took her hand from his cheek. "That was fun, we'll have to do it again sometime, away from the library maybe." Maia laughed a little. "I think I most certainly would have picked you of the gift certificate anyday. It was nice to meet you."
