Detention! - The Danger Shop, Sunday Morning

Because the danger shop was available for teachers to use, Deadpool was gonna abuse that privilege aaaaall the time. Which would be why it was now made up to look like a daycare center from maybe a recent movie about toys. Maybe.

"You both know why you're here," Deadpool informed them. "So, get to work with the kids. And give me the carburetor back before I give Jan enough sugar to let her run a marathon."

They took apart his own, his precious, his bus! Even if it was owned by the school and not actually his. Shh. Anakin didn't believe in subtle things like "ownership" and "sanity" when it came to mechanics.

Those teenagers were fiends!

"Wow, you got this down pat," Deadpool informed him helpfully. "Do you practice it in front of a mirror?"

Anakin snorted. "I don't have to," he said. "I used to be able to make people go other directions just by showing up in a hallway in a bad mood."

It helped when you wore a black mask, a long cape and killed people when you stalked by.

"...is that like Jedi PMS powers?" Aaaaand this was why Deadpool was raising a little girl. Really.

There was a pause as Anakin mulled that over. "No," he said finally.

"Damn. Be cool if it was." Jedi PMS. C'mon. Like you didn't think that was awesome.

"Some of us don't have to blame a cycle of nature for being in a bad mood," Anakin said loftily. "Some of us were just born cranky."

And that was something to be proud of, clearly.

"I am so tellin' your wife you said that." HA! PERKS OF DATIN' A DUDE THERE!

Anakin Skywalker, galaxy-renowned badass, blanched.

"Please don't."

"And that's how I win. Nate will only roll his eyes at me when I make comments like that."

A beat.

"And maybe try to manipulate me to save the world, but that's just him being him."

"Everyone needs a hobby," Anakin agreed. "I used to make droids."

And engage in a little light torture, but that was generally frowned upon.

"...noisy ones?" For kids?

"Sometimes," Anakin said. "Threepio certainly never shut up."

"See, you need to market those things around Christmas. Make yourself a fortune and earn the hate of parents everywhere."

Anakin looked thoughtful. "For aunts and uncles who live thousands of miles away to give as gifts?"

"Well duh." A beat. "And for people you don't like."

"But now you won't be surprised at Christmas," Anakin said, disappointed.

"But I can always arrange playdates and bring it over to share the joy with Juliet," Deadpool pointed out.

"Juliet hates joy," Anakin lied.

"...is she also supposed to end the world?"

Anakin stared at him. "No. Jan's going to end the world?"

Deadpool just shrugged. "That or save it, how should I know? The writers haven't made up their minds yet."

Anakin skipped past the part about the writers. "Let me guess: uselessly vague prophecy?"

"Preeeetty much. Nate and I saved her just after she was born," Deadpool replied. "Some wacky mutant haters burned every baby in the town to try and get her."

"So they cribbed from the New Testament?" Anakin frowned. "Classy."
