Loki wasn't showing any signs of wear from the conversation he'd had yesterday. Fuck that shit, he wasn't going to look like he'd been exhausted by some conversation that brought his past all the way back up again. He had a class to teach.

Said class was in the Danger Shop today, giving them access to what Loki needed them to have access to.

"So, we're all back," he said, giving them all a sarcastic round of applause. "Congratulations. Hopefully we'll have an easy class for you today. No, it's not a fucking movie. Being a badass isn't just adapting to the world around you. No, you've gotta fucking look the part. If you're gonna be going around in cut off jean shorts and a ratty old t-shirt, you'd better be willing to get laughed at or stared at because no one's really gonna think you're all that awesome. Yeah, you might be able to change minds once you prove yourself but first impressions are valuable and that kind of thing isn't gonna give you a great first impression."

Loki hit a few controls on the Danger Shop and brought them back to the large, expansive mall that had everything they needed.

"Today, you're shopping. Go find clothes. Go find clothes that you think make you look all badass and awesome. Find 'em, buy 'em, and come back and tell me why. That's all you gotta do. If I tell you I don't think it works, you can go back in and find something else. Have fun."

It would be utterly cheating of Rosalind to decide that her suit was probably going to make her look more 'badass' than anything else in the mall, wasn't it?

... It was a good thing that Turks had no problems with cheating then, yes.

And that'd be a blonde Turk not really trying to look around the mall. Her suit was enough, thank you very much.

Quinn honestly felt the most like a badass in her Cheerios uniform, but that didn't seem like something Loki would get -- and, anyhow, she wasn't going to pass on the chance to do some fake shopping.

She browsed the stores slowly, assembling an outfit of fitted, faded black jeans, black boots with a spiky heel, a red silky camisole, and a knee-length leather jacket. Hair back in a tight ponytail and a slash of red lipstick on her mouth, she felt ready for anything.

"I look like an action hero in this," she explained, twirling in front of Loki. "It's not usually my style, but it works."

"Interesting look," Loki said, nodding his approval. "Do you think you could perform a lot of activities in those clothes? Running? Jumping? Diving? That sort of thing? That's an action hero."

Oh, dear. Fashion. As much as Alexander had acclimated to certain things about Fandom society that were much different than his own, clothing was still something that mystified him. Part of this had to do, of course, with the fact that, for most of his life, all he had in the way of clothing was the same dirty rags he wore day in and day out and then, once he did have actual clothes, he was mostly dressed under the watchful advisory of what his mother deemed proper.

He did like bright colors, though, and scarves, and so in his shopping, he drifted mostly toward those things. It may take him a good chunk of the class, though, to feel even close to making a decision.

Lindsay thought her army jacket was pretty badass on its own, but she decided to check out the mall for more accessories. She found an expensive looking pair of sunglasses that were definitely awesome. She also found a pair of combat boots. They went with the whole army jacket look.

Wesley was having a hard time getting the concept of trying to look "badass." As he understood it, dressing up for any particular purpose extended to putting on a suit. So he did. Why would he want to dress anything but formally when trying to make an impression?

Dammit, where was Emma when she needed her? Shopping was not one of those things she did well, at least, not without supervision.

The closest thing to a badass outfit she could think of was either her catsuit (and she felt REALLY WEIRD even thinking about buying that for class) or her Widows Weeds.

Which, admittedly, were pretty bad ass, but only in Kaeleer.

She was going to keep browsing and hope for the best.

And Loki didn't know how he'd deal with a catsuit in class so he was glad she was still browsing. He would just be waiting lazily, like he always did.

Rather than hit the mall for a costume change, Nightcrawler teleported back to his room for his uniform. A black catsuit with red mankini pattern, gigantic shoulders, and yellow gloves and belt. What could POSSIBLY be more badass?

Granted, it would have been somewhat more badass if he hadn't ended up in midair when he reappeared and fallen on his butt. Stupid Danger Room screwing with his sense of where things really are.
