Loki wasn't showing any signs of wear from the conversation he'd had yesterday. Fuck that shit, he wasn't going to look like he'd been exhausted by some conversation that brought his past all the way back up again. He had a class to teach.

Said class was in the Danger Shop today, giving them access to what Loki needed them to have access to.

"So, we're all back," he said, giving them all a sarcastic round of applause. "Congratulations. Hopefully we'll have an easy class for you today. No, it's not a fucking movie. Being a badass isn't just adapting to the world around you. No, you've gotta fucking look the part. If you're gonna be going around in cut off jean shorts and a ratty old t-shirt, you'd better be willing to get laughed at or stared at because no one's really gonna think you're all that awesome. Yeah, you might be able to change minds once you prove yourself but first impressions are valuable and that kind of thing isn't gonna give you a great first impression."

Loki hit a few controls on the Danger Shop and brought them back to the large, expansive mall that had everything they needed.

"Today, you're shopping. Go find clothes. Go find clothes that you think make you look all badass and awesome. Find 'em, buy 'em, and come back and tell me why. That's all you gotta do. If I tell you I don't think it works, you can go back in and find something else. Have fun."

"So, what's so special about the suit?" Loki asked. "Classic and professional? Something else?"

"Why it's special to me personally?" Rosalind asked, frowning slightly. "Or in general?"

"In general," Loki decided. "What would make you stick with a suit when you have other options?"

"Classic and professional," she said, with a nod to him. "Utilitarian—there is no difficulty moving in it. If it’s tailored then it’s comfortable.”

Obviously hers was tailored.

“And it’s something everyone recognizes without being obnoxious.”

"Durability?" Loki asked. "Is it pretty strong?"

Rosalind's lips twitched. She’d say so, yes, considering what the Turks put their suits through. Explosions were only the least of it.

"It's resilient."

"Guess the suit fits the assignment," Loki said, laughing. "Way to make it easy on yourself."

"Making the most of your advantages is a useful skill," she pointed out, a very faint bit of amusement in her eyes. "I only endeavor to practice that. I’d be remiss if I didn’t take advantage of the fact that my clothing meets your criteria."

"Hey, I just thought most people would use the time to find fake clothes that they couldn't normally afford," Loki joked.

Rosalind gave him a glance that was clearly dubious.

"There is little point in shopping when you cannot keep them."

"Says you," he chanted, shrugging and moving on since she'd done her activity.
