Children, children everywhere.

Again. Only, this time it seemed to be other residents of the island, instead of their possible future offspring, which somehow made Jono quite thrilled that it hadn't touched him. The last thing he needed was to be five years old again. He hadn't been much of a fan of it the first time around.

That said, it was entirely possible that he was going to entertain himself today by pulling out the children's books once again.

... And possibly flipping through a few that he vaguely remembered from his own childhood. Shut up.

A small boy -- all ears, eyes and energy from the looks of him -- came in and jabbed a finger at a computer near Jono. "Whassat?"

... look, it was 1970 last time he checked. He didn't know everything.

Henry mashed a few random buttons, which didn't do much of anything. "Show me?" he requested. "I wanna play games."

And now, Jono was officially out of his league on two counts. Children and computers, and he was mentally kicking himself for flapping his gob about games.

Henry frowned, but, painstakingly, went to do what he was told. "When I'm big I'm going to have lots and lots of these," he decided.

He wasn't sure what it was, still, but it seemed to be cool and that was worth something.

"Maybe?" Henry sounded doubtful. "I never see these when I go to the future."

At age 7, Henry wasn't so great with secrecy, no. He also wasn't so great with paying attention to detail during time travel.

"Show me the farming, this isn't doing aaaaaaanything." Possibly because he was clicking the mouse in completely random locations.

A wee black-haired girl with a red gem stuck to her forehead -- no doubt giving away her identity immediately -- silently appeared in the library. "Hello," she said, peering up at Jono.

"I need a book," Raven said, Quite Solemnly. "This library does not work like the Library of Azarath. I cannot think of what book I want and find it."

Jono considered this situation for a moment, and then he gave his shoulders a shrug and set down the book that he was reading. The one about the boy who ran away and became the king of the monsters.

No, he'd never wished he could do the same as a child, why?

Oh, look. Another friend for Jono. "Hello," Sookie said softly when she wandered in, her eyes large as she looked around the library. "Do you got any books 'bout how to not sleep?"

She knew she was supposed to go to the library when she wanted to know something! It was a start, anyway.

Everybody was 'gel' or 'mate' today until he could figure out who they were. And then they tended to remain as such by default regardless, because who needed names when 'gel' and 'mate' covered it so very nicely?

Hey, he answered in her head! She wasn't sure how to talk in other people's heads yet, but that was kinda cool. "Nuh-uh. But Bobby an' me aren't gonna sleep anymore 'cause sleep's for babies," she assured him before trying to look in his head and see if he knew other answers he wasn't sharing.

Jono made a bit of a face at the tingle in the back of his mind that felt suspiciously like another telepath trying to poke around where they didn't belong, and he gave the girl a scrutinizing sort of look that suggested that he didn't exactly approve, even if he didn't know how to get her to stop.

Which would at least keep them up for a while before the sudden but inevitable crash afterwards.

"Yeah! Sugar's the best!" Sookie declared, though she did have the grace to look abashed at getting caught. "I had gummi pengis and worms for breffast yesterday and cookies and they had pro-teens. So if we eat just reg-lar sugar we'll stay up forevers?"

Wee!Raven says that logically you should take 3D animation first, then 3D game animation specifically should follow. ;)
