Office Hours - Thursday 20.10
Today Charlie is amusing himself by throwing office basketball and calculating probabilities while waiting for either his study group or Angelus to show up. Or someone else.
(ooc: May actually have to work at work today, so replies will be slow. Study group - feel free to babble amongst yourself. Anybody else, be patient. I will reply.)

Sam laughed at Janet's pencils. "Old school, huh? Could we be bigger geeks?"
[ooc: We completely forgot to ask Shep if he'd be interested in the independent study! D'oh!]

"I like my pencils!" exclaimed Janet,
only slightlynot at all defensively. "Besides, I made everyone who wanted a library card fill out their form in blue or black ink. So, no, we really couldn't be bigger geeks."no subject

The Air Force, as you know, is not big on purple in any form, but especially in ink form.I'll take your word for it."no subject
However, teenage girls like Cassie are very big on writing their book reports in it." Janet shuddered. "I'm traumatized, Sam. I have a complex."no subject
"You had to read a book report, in Cassie's handwriting, in purple glittery ink? Gah!" Sam laughed. "I'm sorry to hear that. Is it something for which we can treat you?"no subject
"I did, and it hurt. You're lucky she was required to do her math homework in pencil."Janet grinned ruefully. "I think only time and distance can heal my pain," said Janet dramatically."We got her a computer very quickly after that."no subject
"Yeah. I know.""Well, if that's all that can heal you, then I will just have to be patient," Sam said, putting her hand to her forehead theatrically."So that's what the rush was about. I always wondered.no subject
"You get all the easy jobs.""Alas, such is the way of the world." Janet clasped her hands in front of her chest and fluttered her eyelashes at Sam. "A part of me will always be torn.""Good God, yes. I couldn't ask her to give up the glittery pens completely, and she needed to learn to use one anyway."no subject
"If I had a dollar for every time I heard that...I could probably buy a cup of coffee. And not even the good stuff.Sam took Janet's hands and held them in her own, like a heroine in a Victorian novel. "It will be my honor to wait for you with bated breath...until you are once again whole in both body and spirit."
"Plus it got her off the phone. Sort of."(no subject)

"Am I late? Did I miss it?" He stops, smiles, and puts his hands on his knees to catch his breath. "Hey guys."

Why am I not surprised?"Sounds interesting," says Janet. Like she'd been saying to Sam last night, she should really stretch beyond the biological sciences--at least a bit. If nanotechnology ever became common in the medical profession, she'd need to know more. "Like what with wormholes?"
OOC: Pretend Janet knows at least a bit more than average here even if I know next to nothing about the subject, please? :)

*sticks tongue out at Janet*"I'm not sure, actually. Maybe trying to figure out mathematically how they could be generated, or even if they would be. Whether they'd be stable, that kind of thing."
OOC: I'm making it up here, as well. Here's hoping John comes up with something brilliant, or we'll be stuck with this.

*smirks at Sam*"You hear some wild things about wormhole theories, don't you?" asked Janet. "What would you use a wormhole for if you could generate one, anyway?"
OOC: Unfortunately, John + Wormholes is the other Farscape OTP. I think we're stuck, which, really for Sam? Not so bad. We can BS our way through here! Somehow...

*wrinkles nose at Janet, in no way resembling a bunny*"You wouldn't believe what people think about wormholes...and I don't know...
interplanetary and intergalactic travel, off the top of my head."OOC: I know about John and the wormholes (how's that for a band name?), but since he's been happily Scorpy free so far, I wasn't sure whether he had all the equations in his head or not.
no subject
*contemplates the adorableness*
*crosses eyes at Sam*
"Oh, you never know," Janet says. "I should probably check in the library for some books.
Gosh, really? No!"OOC: Uh... I think we need John to answer this one. He had the equations before Scorpy found out about them. *pokes John* *makes faces at him*
no subject
*crosses eyes back at Janet**wonders when they got regressed back to third grade*"There's some truly original theories out there...right up there with the aliens and the pyramids.
I know! Shocking, isn't it?"OOC: That's what I thought. Didn't want to raise that fully unless John (and Aeryn, presumably) wanted to deal with it IC.
no subject
*starts giggling uncontrollably*
*thinks it was when Jack gave us the caffeinated gift packages*
"Aliens and the pyramids?" Janet raised an eyebrow. Must not laugh. Must. Not. Laugh. "Someone wrote about aliens and the pyramids? Scientifically?
You know, I bet if someone figured out how to create wormholes for travel, people from Earth could travel all kinds of amazing places."OOC: Yep, I know what you mean. *pokes John again just for fun*
