Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part III

The benches in this section were a little further from the bonfire than the others. If people were sensible, they might want to keep all their clothes on over here, but Fandom, of course, has never been graced with an overabundance of sensible people.

And now I shall sleep for a bit, to wake to a hopefully full inbox!

~~To avoid a bit of browser breakage~~ Jean was a little late in getting to the picnic. Um, did you think her hair did this naturally?

But she was there now. With soda.

Jaime was wearing a kilt. A kilt. How had he let Didi talk him into this?

He was busy trying to hide without being obvious about it. Unfortunately it didn't seem to be working too well. The hiding part, not the obvious part. He was being rather obvious.

Triela had heels, a tailored suit (with a skirt that somehow accentuated her hips), make-up, and actual jewelry on today. She was doing her best not to look uncomfortable. She was actually doing a rather good job of it, actually. It would take someone who actually knew her to pick out her discomfort.

Claire did a double take... no, make that a triple take... when she spotted Triela. Or someone who looked like her, at least.

"Triela?"

Triela was almost proud of herself for not tensing at the sound of her name. She turned slowly and smiled just a bit stiffly. "Hello, Claire."

"Wow, you look... great. Different, but great," Claire said.

That drew a slow blink and something that might have been a real smile. But only for a moment. "Thank you," Triela inclined her head slightly.

Was it kind of creepy that Damon was hanging out at the school and looking at the new students? Kind of. But Damon watched people while they slept so creepy was kind of his calling card.

Okay, Ino was just going to whip out her phone for that.

"Stay still for just a second," she ordered, giggling. "Seriously."

Saying hi was for losers, obviously.

"What's the occasion?" Ino asked, making a face at the--changes. "'Cause, um."

Well.

Ino could tell she wasn't that comfortable about them.

The inquiries about his name hadn't been that bad so his nametag (Nobody Owens with some newly scrawled Latin underneath it) remained stuck to his chest.

He'd gotten a drink sometime in between walking and was now close to the fire, letting his warm his cheeks and fingers.

Jaime sighed, but knew that flailing would only make things worse, so he forced himself to strike a ridiculous pose. Might as well make it a decent picture, right?

Emma was perfectly happy to claim a spot for people-watching by the bonfire, occasionally sipping from her hot coco.

Yes, she'd made it Special, and no, you couldn't have any.

"Orders," Triela answered, voice slightly flat. "And not just for the day."

No. Not exactly happy about it.

"Jaime, darling, don't you look fabulous."

Ino took more than one picture, naturally, but she didn't take all that long.

"So," she asked, peering over her phone. "You normally do this a picnics?"

Ino tilted her head at that.

"...why?" she asked, giving the outfit a more thorough look. "Wasn't the point of it all being that your apparent age would make people less inclined to suspect you?"

Lion-o thought he knew her, but for now he was just going to sit there and gawk for a little while.

He sighed and forced a smile. It was spoiled slightly by the way he was shivering. Kilts weren't very good at keeping your legs warm, and Jaime lacked appropriately warm socks.

"Thanks, Emma. It's nice to be appreciated."

Alex was sitting near the fire, legs stretched out in front of him and drink in hand. Still wasn't feeling any sort of bad mood but that didn't mean he was going to bounce around and find people to talk to. He'd just be here, enjoying the warmth.

"No," Jaime sighed again as he walked over, shivering slightly, to get a look at the pictures. "Somehow I let my roommate talk me into this."

Ino was more than willing to show him the pictures. And giggle.

"Who is your roommate? I should thank them."

"And then they realized that I couldn't operate independently. People turn out to be highly suspicious of little girls just wandering around by themselves. And there's nothing stopping me from going back when necessary."

The rather obvious, if still small, breasts weren't permanent.
