DADA for Muggles, final class [Wednesday]

It had taken Remus and Sirius slightly less time this go around to program the Danger Room to do what they wanted (Sirius contended it was because it had threatened the computer with a good hexing, but that was debatable), but for a final examination, the professors felt that a bit of effort should be expended.

"Welcome to your exam," Sirius said with a slightly fiendish smile, extending his hand to encompass the scene before them: a large grassy area (complete with a different castle in the background. They missed Hogwarts a bit, so hush) covered in a variety of obstacles. "Hopefully you remember what you have learned. You will encounter a series of practical exercises in order for us to determine how prepared you are to face the Dark Arts in every day life. Good luck. If you get too hexed to continue, Professor Lupin and I will step in, but I don't think that will be entirely necessary."

Priestly

Priestly knew from cabbages. For instance, that they didn't tend to have teeth. He was sure to do just fine on this one.

Okay, this one Priestly had a little more trouble with, and involved a lot of standing as far back as possible with his head turned away and a grimace on his face while sort of hoping that if he flung strips of duct tape at the zombie, it'd get the point and do it itself.

Priestly picked out a likely bean and looked around for someone he could ~~trick~~ coax into eating it for him.

Didi

Priestly dug into his pockets.

"Uh. Anybody got any change?"

Priestly was pretty sure that poking goths with sticks to see if they snapped at him wouldn't work as well here as it did on the cabbages.

Didi found a pencil and poked at the cabbages until she got one that didn't bite. Problem solved.

This wasn't hard, but it involved wishing she didn't have to breathe. Also that the zombie would quit grinning at her.

Dinah had the dragonhide gloves on immediately, but was using her TK to poke at the vegetables, waiting for one of them to look back at her. Yeeeee.

Didi turned the knob without putting in any coins and got two candy bars. Apparently the universe liked her again today.

Didi didn't get around to finding the vampire. She was too busy avoiding the guys trying to hit on her.
