When the class came in, they would have noticed several things. Quite apart from a complete lack of the ubiquitous handouts, Bond was leaning against the wall. This wasn't so unusual, however he usually wasn't wearing such tight clothing, nor did he usually pose in quite that manner, or display a fresh ring of teeth-marks on one forearm.

It was probably best for all concerned to ignore the thing currently growing on his upper lip.

If anyone still had any doubts that something not quite right was going on, they would ahve been dispelled the moment he opened his mouth. "I am Paulo," he said in a thick accent that could have come from any number of places."I am here, at great expense, to teach you about love-making."

"So ask me questions. Any question, I tell you answers for them all."

"I am also willing to give practical teaching," he added with a coquettish tilt of his head. "For you my rates are quite reasonable, and I do group bookings as well."

Yes, he did just say that. Someone would be spending the foreseeable future at the bottom of a bottle once the gremlin bite wore off.

Kyle went through a series of thoughts. First, he wondered if Professor Bond had one of those doubles with a really bad moustache. Then he wondered if he himself could grow a moustache like that. Then he finally settled on this being like Rose's insanity that time in the common room where she'd called him Tiny.

Throughout this series of unfortunate thoughts, he stared a lot.

During the, um, lecture, Rose glanced over at Kyle before quickly scribbling a note and passing to him.

A) Dare you to ask how much it'd be for a 'private lesson.'

B) If he makes a move on someone, take him down with me? I'll go high.

Kyle took the note, but of course had no idea what it said. He stared at it for a few moments, seeing if he could magically suddenly read what it said, but no dice. He set the note aside on his desk, didn't reply and awkwardly tried to pay attention to Bond instead of Rose.

It wasn't his best plan.

Uh, okay. Rose frowned at him.

And he got another note.

When'd you get boring?

Kyle looked uncomfortable and set that note next to the other one. "Later," he whispered, trying not to get Paulo's attention.

Rose raised her eyebrows curiously then nodded before turning her attention back to making sure 'Paolo' didn't try to grope anyone.

Kyle was glad that that was over and his stomach was grumbling as he thought of hamburgers and milkshakes. He stood up and shoved Rose's letters into his jacket pocket.

"Almost feel bad leaving him like that," Rose admitted, shoving her notebook into her bag and pulling out a hair tie. "Either that or I wanna see him hit on, like, Professor Atreides."

"I think she'd break his nose if he tried," Kyle replied. He'd taken a few steps towards the door, but was waiting for her. "Or worse. He's acting like you were when you were Snow White."

"Which is why it be hilarious," Rose said, swinging her bag over her shoulder and catching up to him. But she reached to punch him fairly gently in the shoulder. "Take it back, Tiny. I was NOT like that."

Kyle threw her an amused look. "Oh, right, of course. You weren't totally out of your mind and wanting to clean. At all."

"But I wasn't going around offering to have sex with people," Rose said. She didn't need to be gremlin bit for that. "Thanks for reminding me that Tiny's an awesome name for you though."

"Yeah, because I'm really shorter than you." Sarcasm. He was learning well.

"Who says I'm talking about your height?" Rose teased.

"I do, because anything else so isn't getting talked about with Paulo in earshot."

"Dirty mind, Reese," Rose laughed.

"After this class, do you blame me?"

"Not so much," Rose admitted. She waited until there weren't as many people around then asked "so what's up with the notes? Too goody-goody?"

She was mostly teasing.

"Oh," Kyle said, adjusting his jacket with his free hand. "No, it's just-" He fished the two notes out of his pocket. "You can have them back," he offered.

"I don't want 'em back," she said, looking half-confused.

Kyle put them back in his pocket and glanced around to make sure that no one was within earshot. "I can't read them."

That was pretty much completely beyond Rose's ken. "...like not at all? Really?"

"I can pick out some of the letters?"

"Why didn't you ever learn?" she asked curiously. "Or - one of those no time in the future things?"

"It wasn't important," he shrugged. "I'm learning now, but it's harder than I thought it would be."
