"I don't know. Can't I just be happy?" Sam asked, taking another twirl in the chair.

"You can. It's just that I've never seen you so flamboyantly happy before," Chuck said. "Did you get laid last night?"

"That does make me really, really happy, but no," Sam said, shaking his head. He shook his head a little more and giggled. "If I move my head fast enough, it looks like there's two of you."

Chuck started to laugh. Oh god, Dean was going to kill him.

"I think if there were two of me we would have taken over the world by now," Chuck told him. "Or at least North America."

"We'd be living in Bassland!" Sam said. "You'd be king and you'd have a castle and you'd probably fill the whole place with strippers, 'cause that's how you roll."

That would be Chuck laughing again. "As ruler of Bassland I'll be sure to give you special benefits. Whatever you want. Books, flannel, brownies..."

"Brownies!" Sam said, perking up even more. "I only want brownies if Francine makes them."

"Francine does make some good brownies, doesn't she? I had a whole batch of them yesterday." Chuck leaned in like he was telling Sam some big secret. "The secret ingredient is oregano."

"Really?" Sam asked. "It was good oregano. She gave me two of them and I had them for breakfast sort of, and they were great."

"That was some pretty top-quality oregano," he agreed. Chuck smiled and shook his head. "I can't believe you ate both of them in one go. You pig."

"What? They were good and I hadn't eaten much yet," Sam said. "I can have brownies for breakfast if I want to. You're not in charge of me."

"I'm in charge of everybody, Sam," Chuck told him. "You're just in denial."

"Nuh uh," Sam said, shaking his head again. "Dean's in charge of me, and Peter's in charge of me, but you're not, because..." He trailed off when he didn't really have a reason to give. "You're just not."

"Nope, you're wrong. I'm the boss of everybody," Chuck said, quite enjoying the fact that he was having an elementary school argument with Sam. "Before I came here you guys were all lost without me. Mass chaos."

"We were fine!" Sam said, laughing. "If you're in charge, how come you haven't given me orders?"

"Because I'm a kind and generous ruler," Chuck replied. "And a pretty good looking ruler too, I might add."

"Well, yeah," Sam agreed. He was going to want to strangle himself later, really. "Being rich has its perks."

"I'll have you know that most of it is due to good Bass genes," he said. "Though I don't have to tell you about good genes. The Winchester ones aren't bad either."

"Is that why you had sex with Dean? 'Cause you think he has good genes?" Sam asked.

"I had sex with Dean because he's hot and good at it," Chuck said, laughing.

Sam laughed. "You think Dean is hot. You liiike him."

"Noooooo I doooon't," Chuck said back at him. "Wow, you must be out of it if you think that."

"I think deep down you don't hate him, or you wouldn't have had sex with him. Just like deep down he doesn't hate you because you're hot too." It made sense at the moment, at least.

Chuck smirked. "You said you don't need a reason to be happy. Why can't I have sex for the sake of having sex? That's awfully hypocritical of you."

Yeah, he'd like to see stoned!Sam answer that.

'Cause...liking people makes sex better, I guess?" It wasn't like he had sexual encounters with people he didn't like to prove that.
