Sex Ed, Wednesday, Period Two, Class #10

"Good morning!" Edward's eyes shone golden and he seemed in a particularly good mood. Each desk in the room had a single rose sitting on it. Half the roses were red and half were white.

"Today we'll be doing a roleplay exercise. It is easy to decide to take the moral high road, but it can be difficult to resist temptation when it arises." He seemed unaware of the double entendre. "If you have a white rose, your task today is simple. Hold onto that flower. If you have a red rose, your task today is to convince someone with a white rose to give their flower to you. You may use charm, lies or bribery if you wish. You may not," and here his eyes darkened for a moment, "use threats or force. Anyone who tries will earn detention immediately."

"Before we begin, I'd like to discuss next week's class. It is popular these days to wear skimpy or skin-tight clothing that leaves little to the imagination. Dressing modestly is sadly underrated. Next week we will have a fashion show for your peers to demonstrate that clothing can be both modest and practical. Please give your clothing size to our T.A.s before you leave and remember to invite your friends to class next week!"

"Yeah, dude, your balls would shrivel up to nothing out there right now," he agreed.

Kevin lifted up his red rose and tapped it lightly against his lips. "So what are we supposed to be doing with these flower things again?" he asked. He had developed a bad habit of totally not paying attention to anything Edward said in class.

That first comment got a bit of a steady look from Cal, and then he shook his head slightly. It wasn't like Kevin knew any better and, quite frankly, he preferred it that everyone could assume that he had balls to be shriveled up into the nothing they currently were.

"If you've got a red rose," Cal explained, nodding to Kevin's flower, "you have to find someone with a white rose," he held up his own, "and try to get it from them. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be symbolic of sex, or, since I'm sure Cullen's delusional, virginity, so basically half the class has to try to swindle someone out of their virginity while the other half have to try to defend their honor or some shit and I don't think he really thought it through, all things considered."

"Oh!" Kevin looked at his rose with newfound respect. "I'm a pro at swindling people out of their virginity."

He looked at Cal and quirked an eyebrow. "So, Cal, wanna swap roses? It'll be worth it. Trust me," he said with a casual confidence that could easily be taken as cocky.

Cal considered for about half a minute and then, being no fun at all, held out his rose. "Okay," he said, noting that losing this symbolic virginity was just about as easy as it had been the actual time.

But then making that comparrison struck a thought of what this particular scene was missing that that scene had had. An important part. He pulled the flower back before Kevin could take it. "Actually," he ammended, "throw in a redhead and you've got yourself a deal."

Kevin paused, obviously confused. "A redhead? Dude, are you asking me to be in a threesome?" He nodded his head in approval. "Hot. Do you have a particular redhead in mind?" He looked about the classroom. "Maybe I could convince one of these dudes to dye their hair."

There was a slight twist of worry in Cal's stomach about the lines between being apathetic during a stupid class assignment and this actually seeming sincere blurring, but he arched an eyebrow at Kevin none-the-less. "Why?" he asked. "There's already a perfectly good natural redhead already."

As he nodded her out to Kevin, Cal couldn't help blushing and he couldn't help but wonder what Claire would have said if she knew he'd just said that.

"Oh?" Kevin followed Cal's gaze. "Oh!"

He frowned. "Oh. Dude, no offense, but I really don't get into boobs, you know? I mean, they just kind of stick out there and look all... boob like."

He paused. "But, I mean, I guess if you were in the middle, I could go for that." It would be an interesting story, at least.

Cal didn't care how gay a person might be; he couldn't understand how someone couldn't appreciate boobs. Then again, maybe he just spent way too much time with trannies.

Face going a little more red, Cal was really starting to hate having ever opened his mouth, because now his mind was going places he was pretty sure Claire wouldn't appreciate his mind going.

"No redhead," he said, "no rose."

And then Cal wondered how he became the one bargaining here when he was pretty sure it should have been Kevin.

God, he hated Cullen.

He thought it over for a moment and then shrugged. "Hell, as long as I don't have to bang her, I'm game." He glanced back over her way. "Do you think she would be into it?"

And heck, if Cal was really turned on by it, it could be fun just to sit back and watch the action up close.

Kevin was so easily entertained.

O Great Muse, what had he gotten himself into now? Cal's hands covered his red face as, almost as if his mouth were working against his brain, he said, "I don't know; maybe you should ask her."

"Like right now?" He would so totally go do it. "Are you alright, man?" Cal seemed to be changing colors.

"Oh, I'm fine," Cal said, because he always made claims on things he would never do in a million years and would make Claire think he was a complete perv weirdo. "Really."

"So, do you really want me to go proposition that girl, or are we just talking about like a hypo... what's it called? Hypo..., um, fake situation thing."

"Hypothetical situation!" Cal said, all too quickly. "Yes. This is completely a hypothetical situation!" Because he did not need Claire wanting to cut off the balls that he didn't have.

Although, he had to admit, it wasn't all that bad of an idea at all...

Kevin was visibly disappointed. "So, since I have hypothetically agreed, do I get your flower?"

Then he added, "We could just, like, make out or something."

"Depends," Cal said. "Is she hypothetically agreeing, too?"

"And this is Cullen's class, man. I think if we made out, we'd get detention." Hello, easy cop out!

"Dude, look at us, why would she say no?" This was Kevin's kind of logic.

And Cal had to admit to liking that logic quite a lot. He was still blushing quite a lot but he finally managed a grin through all the wanting to shoot himself in the foot. "Good point," he said. "She totally would. So you," he finally held out the flower again, "get this, and we just had a hypothetical threesome."

"Hot!" Kevin grinned and took the flower. "And, seriously, if you want to get together sometime, like outside of class, I would be cool with that."

"...I'll, uh, keep that in mind," Cal said, avoiding looking anywhere near Kevin's general direction and hoping that nervous swallowing wasn't noticeable.

"Awesome." Kevin stood there for a moment, picturing what he and Cal might look like getting it on.

"Well, dude, thanks for the flower. I'll see you around." He headed off.
