Summer Fitness [Period 2, Friday]

As the class assembled at the Danger Shop, they were greeted by an entirely too-chipper Bond, and some very pretty scenery that would in no way have looked familiar to any members of the class if they were around.

"So," he began, once everyone had arrived. "I thought we'd have a relatively simple class today, and do a spot of cross-country running. Not a race though, it doesn't matter what order you finish the course in, so long as you finish." There, that wasn't in the least bit ominous.

"So, if you'll just slip the back-packs on, and follow me, that would be great."

...wait, back-packs?

[Please wait for OCD up!]

Toby was certainly glaring at a certain person in class while making sure to smile brightly at everyone else.

Kevin was doing his best to ignore a certain person's glaring. He was here to work hard, not be petty.

Johnny was just chilling. Listening. But chilling.

Running! Yes, running! Reno could handle running! It wasn't swimming! Yay, runni- Backpacks?

...

Running! Woo!

Toby didn't mind the extra weight. He'd been told he'd been carrying Kevin's baggage for long enough that he was plenty strong.

The added weight didn't bother Johnny in the least.

Kevin put on the backpack without a word of complaint. His shoulders had been feeling extra light anyway, what with the lifting of burden and nonstop guilt that came with dumping Toby.

Reno put on his backpack with a bit of a grunt. It was bound to happen, he figured. All of the teasing Rude he'd done in the past about faster being better than stronger was coming back to bite him in the ass.

Dammit, he was gonna persevere!

Cal shouldered on his pack without complain. Only an observance, really, muttered to no one in particular, "Isn't this bad for your back?"

Cassandra hefted the pack. Then she opened it and carefully redistributed the contents so that the weight was even and wouldn't shift. Once that was done she shrugged into the pack and spent a couple of minutes adjusting it to fit properly.

By the time she was actually ready to start jogging, a lot of people were already ahead of her.

Andros had no problem with the extra weight as he put the backpack on.

The added weight wasn't so bad. Teyla just had to make sure she kept herself balanced.

It was heavy, but the Cube had been heavy, too. Sam could manage it. Or so he told himself.

Toby was challenged, challenged by having Kevin in all his classes and he might've hung back a little to stare at that beautiful ass while he jogged along.

Kevin knew Toby was somewhere behind him, but he didn't turn around. He did his best to stay ahead of everyone.

And so what if he was little gassy from breakfast? Every time he let one fly, he imagined Toby running right into waiting fumes.

Johnny jogged along, keeping quiet; focusing on the course ahead.

The mud-pit was the least of Toby's troubles. He pushed through it in ways he would never be able to push through Kevin's random issues.

Toby was caked with mud. God this was gonna make for an awesome shower.

...Damn Kevin for picking this week to beak it off. Damn him to hell.
