Meg walked up next to Dawn, a napkin full of chips in her hands.

"It's weird I'm going to miss this, right?" she asked, offering said chips to Dawn.

"I dunno about weird," Dawn said, taking a chip. "I mean, colleges must do something like this, too, I think? But yeah, I totally get it, too."

"I don't think they're going to warn us about gremlins and weetiny animals when we do this at college," Meg said. She sighed. "That's unfortunate."

"We could do it," Dawn suggested immediately. "I mean, I'm gonna be a weirdo there anyway, so why not cement our reps by starting out extra strange?"

"What makes you think you're going to be the weirdo?" she asked. She didn't think Dawn was weird. Except for the food thing.

"Because of the whole being anti-vampire and demon thing, plus reading Sumerian and Latin and a bunch of other dead languages?" Dawn explained. "Plus, I like my salami sandwiches with peanut butter."

Dawn briefly debated whether or not fleeing was an option. Probably not. He looked like he ran. "Nope. I figure it's someone else's job now."

John made a point of running his hand through his nice, full head of hair. "Too bad. I recall hearing you gave pretty good advice."

"There's still time to scare the newbies," Rikku said, wandering up to Dawn. "We can set up a fortune-teller booth or something. Or start telling people strange codephrases like we think they're secret agents. You know. Wander up to someone, lower your voice and go 'The dangerous bird ... flies at midnight.' And look really hopeful and then dejected when they don't say the right thing back."

Dawn started giggling. "We could, but then we'd end up on the warning list for the newbies. I'm not sure I'm ready for that."

"I told John I wanted to set up an information booth tomorrow," she giggled. "Call it FREE INFORMATION - FIVE CENTS ONLY, and wear something insane like a turban and caftan, and just mess with people."

Dawn loved Rikku, but she wasn't sure she needed to wear anything weird or insane. "He suggested that to me, too," she said, laughing. "I think you'd be awesome at it."
