Punching People and Not Breaking Your Hand: Fighting 101 - Period 5 - [06/02]

Frowning slightly as he watched all the kids file in for class, Deadpool crossed his arms over his chest.

"So it seems we're not around France anymore. There go my plans to teach Savate and let you kick clowns..."

It was sad, really. Kicking clowns was excellent exercise. Good cardio.

"Instead, now that we seem to be vaguely South Pacific in that adorable Rogers and Hammerstein kinda way, I'll be showing you a few basic moves in Muay Thai. Because elbowing and kneeing people in the chest is so much more fun," He told them all cheerfully.

"There will be four basic moves to learn here. The elbow strike, the knee strike, hanuman and the flying knee." He squinted at them for a moment. "And no, these aren't going to be done on each other. I'd rather not get punched by the principal if I can help it. Sure, she's got that MILF thing working for her now, but it's just bad form to toss you all in a room to have a battle royale..."

Deadpool sighed dreamily.

"...Maybe someday." Shaking his head, Deadpool snapped out of it. "Partner up to help each other with form and try these on the punching bags. They usually don't hit back and now that I've said that we're doomed to being attacked by them for the beret thing."

Ino didn't have much to do on Mondays, and being pissed off at Andrew had made her want to avoid people for most of the day--and smirk every now and then, okay, a lot, at the lump of Andrew-mouse in Kusanagi--but it had also given her time to remember that she owed Deadpool-san cookies.

So, she showed up at the tail-end of class, with a Tupperware container cradled in her arms.

"Why would it be here to kill you?" Ino asked curiously. "It's cookies. For you."

"I'm not crazy," Ino insisted, ignoring the fact that Andrew-mouse would probably disagree with her. She handed over the Tupperware container willingly. It contained Sugared Black Raspberry Tea cookies, and Ino did hope he liked them.

She'd liked the few she'd had after all.

"I needed something to concentrate on," she said dryly, "chocolate chip wouldn't have cut it."

"Yes," she agreed patiently, "but it's not very difficult at all. I wanted a bit more of a challenge than that."
intraspective: (Just a smile)

Ino had to smile at that. "Exactly. Though I'm pretty sure that cookies don't have mouths."

...

She hoped not anyway.

"Well," Ino pointed out, "you never can be sure around here."

He'd stayed around, considering the thought of asking the teacher about something, but his mind shifted immediately when he saw Ino. He waited until she was done with the professor before pulling her aside.

"May we talk?"
intraspective: (don't need this)

Ino drew in a quick breath and let it out. "Why?" Stupid, so stupid. She'd known even that he was in this class, why hadn't she checked to make sure he was gone?

"Because I'd like to talk with you," he told her plainly. "That's all. And thank you."
intraspective: (better than you)

"Thank you for what?" Ino asked crossly, feeling confused. "But fine, I guess. We can talk. Where?"

"Wherever you'd like. We can even go to a cafe if you'd prefer. My treat."
intraspective: (either way thoughtful)

"You're the one that wants to talk," she said, frowning. "I guess a cafe is fine, or the Perk, or whatever."

Ino rolled her eyes at him. "Fine," Ino said to Liir, "I'll talk to you there."

"And you," she said severely, to Deadpool-san, "just eat your cookies, okay?"

"What does that word mean?" he snapped. He'd heard it used on the radio in conjunction with him twice and now this?

That got a very flat look.

"Then it's being misused."
