Luau: The Main Campfire: Friday Evening
The irony of having a Hawaiian luau while in Greece probably hadn't escaped anyone. But given that the majority of the students probably couldn't pinpoint Hawaii on the map, it didn't seem like that was enough of a reason to cancel what had become a summer tradition.
So in the early evening, the main campfire was transformed into a party place with coconuts, grass skirts, and leis for everyone. A pig was slowly roasting over the fire, and a hugemoddable buffet spread out to the flagpole.
A dance floor was set up, and Hawaiian music was playing, but there was also plenty of grass spread with blankets for the less-rhythm-inclined.
[OOC: YAAAAAY LUAU! Students, teachers, and townies all welcome!]

Re: The Campfire
"This," she fingered her skirt again, "is a grass skirt, silly," Amber giggled and reached over to poke his leg. "Hawaii is an island though actually counted as part of the United States."
Re: The Campfire
He leaned back a little before continuing.
"And there's a special kind of party that someone in Hawaii has that's different from other parties?"

He looked out into the fire thoughtfully.
"I couldn't see much though, from Kiamo Ko. But it sounds interesting."

"As I have a feeling you did."

"Ozma forfend I learn another dance."
One eyebrow arched up.
"I think I could," he said after a moment.

"I'm glad to see you as well," he said. "I've been keeping myself away too much. I'd rather not turn into an old bat in a tower."

He could be charming when he put in the effort for it, and Amber had been exceedingly sweet.

"How goes your play then?"
Re: The Campfire
"Very well, thanks. But you know," she leaned towards him slightly, lowering her voice, "I've had a couple bad dreams and I think they've stemmed from the play."

He couldn't think of something on a page that was so bad. It was happening to other people, after all.
