Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

Oh look, there were tables and chairs over here too, away from all the informational stuff. Enjoy the food!

[WAIT FOR THE OCD PLEASE. OCD IS UP. This is the FIRST post for general mingling. Please use this post first, if your browser can handle the comment load. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are here and there is more room for mingling here.]

Since the weather was so nice, Seely wasted no time whatsoever in losing his shirt.

Had to get the newbies started on Shirtless Fridays early after all.

Ned was just going to stand over here and stare and try to figure out how he'd gone from dark, depressing boarding school to a place that welcomed students with a picnic.

Staring felt like the best way to do this. So, he was staring.

By now thoroughly nonplussed, Gwen had retreated to get a coffee and look out at the scenery. The Greek, non-Virginian scenery.

She was going to kill Jack. Yes. And then when he came back kill him again.

Chris was hanging out, drinking a cup of coffee, and wondering if he'd have any more back-from-the-dead relatives showing up this time around.

Lois grabbed a drink and took to mingling. After a few minutes mingling turned into blatant guy watching. There were some good ones here, that's for sure. She looked awfully casual for someone that was shirtless.

Shirtless Fridays were her new favorite holiday.

Whether or not he was entirely pleased to be here was no reason to turn down free food, so here Wes is, munching on sandwiches as he wanders around.

Meg didn't have a little sibling to meet up with this semester so she was at the picnic strictly to mingle. She had a drink in her hand and was looking at all the new faces.

Andros had decided to spend some time at the welcome picnic even though he really wasn't making that much of an effort to mingle.

Brooke was hoping to get out of work early checking out the newbies, of course. She had to see if any of them were cute and/or dateable. It was a thing.

The glee? Was strong with this one today and she bounced a little as she watched people.

Very very excited.

Adah had the basic essentials to something like this: a pen, a notebook, two properly working eyes, and a picnic table a little further removed from everything else, so that she could just sit and watch and pass her usual silent observances regarding the new influx of people of whom she would probably just normally ignore and have nothing to do with as per usual.

Nothing to do with, of course, besides judging them based on watching them alone. That's what most people did, anyway. Adah was just honest about it.

Having grabbed some food and found her new sibling, Anemone and Gulliver wandered around to do some people-watching.

Naomi got something to eat and began mingling. She was looking forward to meeting the new students.

Isabel grabbed a drink and started to look over the newbies. She wondered who knew what they were getting into and whose brain would be broken by the end of the day.

If she was a bit wistful that this was the last time she'd do this, she hid it well.

"I approve of your shirtlessness," Ino told him, saluting him with her drink. "Go you."

Worf had a cup of coffee. Which was completely different from the replicated coffee he was used to drinking.

However he was Klingon and a warrior. One could withstand the difference.

As was his tradition for a new semester, Chad had come out to the picnic, finding himself the sturdiest looking table to sit on with his guitar, and play music for the new kids and the old kids too and maybe chat with a few of them if they wanted to talk, which he would like, but, if you got right down to it, Chad could be pretty shy.

His hairless kitten was sitting beside him, as was a small little container. He figured it might not hurt to pick up a few tips if anyone had them.

He tried hard not to play too many sad songs in light of Teddy having left yesterday.

There was eating to be had, so the being merry bit wasn't exactly hard.

Sokka hung out by the food table, waving at the newbies.

Seely grinned, saluting back. "We aim to please," he said, then added "And recruit, just imagine a whole sea of shirtlessness by the end of the day."

"Is it shirtless day already?" Jamie asked. "My how time flies. Or is this another mutiny?"

Re: General Mingling (Summer 2008)

[identity profile] socksofcool.livejournal.com 2008-05-09 02:05 pm (UTC)(link)
"Shirtless day," Seely replied, grinning. "Have to ease the newbies into a mutiny."

Yep, Lois was staring. This school rocked.
