"They seem to be mostly harmless," Peter said. The sheep in his bag leaned over to try to rub his arm. "Little clingy maybe. Luckily I'm not allergic to wool."

"Me neither. I'm just glad they're small. I'd hate to see what they could get up to if they were bigger."

"I'm surprised you don't have Scout with you," Peter said. He handed over the usual cup of coffee. "He could learn how to be a sheep dog."

"I wonder if he'd be afraid of the sheep," Sam said. "He's fine with things that are bigger than him, but if something's little...he's a very strange dog sometimes."

He set the coffee down for a second, and then picked it back up as soon as he saw one of the sheep running towards the cup.

"Nice save," Peter said. "I don't wanna know what these guys are like with caffeine in them."

"I'm imagining them bouncing around with their wool sticking straight out," Sam said, laughing.

"Do you think they build up static electricity if they're near each other for too long?" Peter asked.

Sam eyed the two sheep who were perched in his lap. "I shouldn't want to test to find out, should I?"

"It would be very wrong," Peter agreed.

"Poor little sheep, their lives are hard enough," Sam said, reaching down to let one of them cling to his finger.

"Must be hard when grass is taller than you are," Peter agreed. He gave a pet to one of the sheep wandering along the desk.

"Maybe they came from a place where everything is small," Sam suggested.

"They seemed to enjoy donuts," Peter said. "Not sure what that says about their survival in the wild."

"I don't know either," Sam said. "But I do know that I could stand for the weirdness of this place to manifest in cute ways more often."

"It is better than the statues," Peter agreed.

"And the bears," Sam said, outright petting the sheep now.

"Somehow I avoided the bears," Peter said. "Though I heard you and Dean talking about them. Along with that beach party I apparently should've been at."

The last bit was said with a look to Sam that wondered if there was anything Peter needed to know.

"It wasn't a party," Sam said, trying to figure out Peter's look. "I mean, it wasn't planned that everyone would end up at the beach. And don't think anything of Dean flirting with Brooke. He was flirting with everyone, that's just the way he is."

"I guess," Peter said, looking more uncertain than anything like upset. He took a sip of his coffee. "Anyway, I'm glad you got to have fun before I lose you to finals."

"Hey, what do you mean 'lose' me?" Sam asked. "I don't think my finals will be too bad. Possibly crazy in the 'Oh God, why are you making us do this?' kind of way, but not complicated or anything."

"I meant in the sense that you'll bury yourself inside of books and not come up for air until summer," Peter said, teasing.

"You say that like it's a bad thing," Sam said with a smirk. "That's what normal people do at finals time, isn't it?"

"In what argument do we accept you being normal as a given?"

For a moment, Sam was very, very tempted to throw a sheep at Peter.

"I'm closer to normal than you," Sam said. "At least when it comes to studying and school things."

"Sounds like a very skewed sample to me," Peter said, nodding sagely.
