In class today there were puppies.

Well, one puppy with an odd glowy eye, a deaf wolf, and a weetiny fox.

But they were all adorable.

"Good morning kids! Today we are learning about drug sniffing dogs." A beat. "And fox."

Which was totally used by law enforcement officials, shut up.

"Now, I have hidden drugs somewhere in this room and these intrepid animals are going to show you just how incredible their sense of smell is." He looked down at them all, nodding seriously. "Go find the drugs!"

...

They all just sat there, hoping for treats. Except for Max, who started to groom her tail.

"Damn it. I knew I shoulda stolen real ones."

Please don't search for the drugs. That would only make the poor animals look bad.

Annette stared.

Kabuto chalked another class up on the "useless" tally and went back to his own notes.

Isabel propped her head on her hand and figured the class would at least be entertaining enough that she wouldn't fall asleep.

Peter shot a look of concern Isabel's way.

"Rough weekend," she replied.

"I'm gonna guess it wasn't heavy partying for First Contact day," Peter said.

Isabel shook her head. "If only. Long story short? Demon, spell, and my boyfriend was evil and trying to kill people. It was one of those weekends that made me wonder if life wouldn't be simpler if I went to a normal school."

"What?" Peter gave her a more assessing look. "Are you okay?"

"I'm okay," she told him. And she was, physically. The mental issues might take a little time to work you. "Some demon cursed this teddy bear and yes, I know that sounds insane. But he did. And Wyatt wasn't the Wyatt that we know anymore."

"You're here now so I'm guessing he's back to normal?" Peter asked.

"I wouldn't exactly say normal," she sighed. "But he's who he's supposed to be again. Prue and Savannah broke the spell. He's confused and upset and as much as I'd like to, I just can't be supportive girlfriend right now."

"Need a supportive friend?" Peter asked.

That made Isabel smile. "I wouldn't say no to some company later on. Is there any reality TV to snark on tonight?"

"Didn't they move Dirty Jobs?" Peter asked ~~though his mun might be at class until 9:30~~

"I think they did. Although you can't snark on Mike. He's too nice a guy," she said. "But you can laugh at him."

[No worries, AFK myself from about 4:30 till 7:30.]

"I think there's that show on MTV," Peter said. "The blonde girls who are frenemies or something? The Valleys?"

"I don't think I've ever seen an episode," Isabel admitted, enjoying the distraction. "Don't tell me I'm missing out on quality snark potential."

"It's MTV," Peter said. "I don't know if that's quality so much as quantity."

"Point," she nodded. "Between the pimping of rides and the tackiness that is spoiled sixteen year olds, there's plenty to make fun of."

Awwww, cute! Especially that wee little fox.

Chad was staring.

Not that anyone could tell, really, with that face of his, but it was most certainly a stare of zomglookitthecutelittlepuppies...andfox!!!

Michael ignored the lecture and tried to lure Tether to his desk.

It would be bad to look too amused, right? Right?
