Criminal Justice (As Taught By A Criminal) - Period 3 - Monday 04/07

In class today there were puppies.

Well, one puppy with an odd glowy eye, a deaf wolf, and a weetiny fox.

But they were all adorable.

"Good morning kids! Today we are learning about drug sniffing dogs." A beat. "And fox."

Which was totally used by law enforcement officials, shut up.

"Now, I have hidden drugs somewhere in this room and these intrepid animals are going to show you just how incredible their sense of smell is." He looked down at them all, nodding seriously. "Go find the drugs!"

...

They all just sat there, hoping for treats. Except for Max, who started to groom her tail.

"Damn it. I knew I shoulda stolen real ones."

Please don't search for the drugs. That would only make the poor animals look bad.

Or just pet them. Whatever.

When they ping in!

He was now wondering where he actually hid the drugs.

Maybe behind the desk?

WHEEE! PUPPIES

There was a weetiny fox there, now attempting to shred Deadpool's attendance sheet to make a nest under the desk.

Somewhere else (if close to the fox) was a puppy with two mismatched eyes. He seemed to be mostly intent on some spot off in the distance.

Like he was just waiting for something to happen.

Dief didn't look too bored. He seemed to like the change of pace from sitting in Fraser's office all day, doing nothing.

Toward the end of class, John wandered over to Deadpool. "Sorry I missed class last week." He really wasn't. "Is there anything I need to make up?"

Getting the weirdest sense of deja vu, Deadpool nodded.

"...government kidnapping?"

"No," John frowned. He wasn't supposed to talk about saving the world, but he'd totally done it. "I suffered through a musical?"

Dean was pretty sure he still had the bag of puppy treats in his backpack from the time Sammy was a puppy. Sure enough, he found it at the very bottom of his pack after a few minutes' rumaging. Getting them out, he held one out in offering to the puppy. "Want a treat, boy? 100% completely Sammy-puppy approved."

There should be a club for that here. Everyone did that at least once.

More if their last name was Summers.

"What musical? If it was Cats, so help me, I will give you detention..."

John bit his lip. He had no idea, but there had been cats in it. "Um...maybe?" Even his hair cringed.

Dief was ~~a completely adorable puppy~~ an awesome-looking wolf, so John decided to say hello, holding out his hand as he approached. "Hey there, fella."

Dief eyed John for a minute, just appraising him before he nosed the offered hand and nuzzled gently.

Treats!

Tether's calm eyes lost any hint of actual calmness as he eagerly (so very, very eagerly) snapped up the treat, chewing it with a satisfaction that was pure and true.

John smiled, "You're a nice dog, er, wolf I guess. Betcha don't get much work here in Fandom."

Annette stared.

YAY PUPPIES

Well, he did live with six other dogs now so he was busy when he was at home. But, he couldn't tell John this so he just wagged his tail and nosed at John's hand.
