Library [03/31]

As soon as Sam woke up, he started remembering what had happened over the weekend, and groaned. He couldn't remember doing anything too embarrassing, aside from having a very weird conversation with Zoe, but that didn't stop him from heading straight for the library in the hope of finding things to distract him during work.

There weren't many books that needed to be checked in, but Sam got that done first nonetheless.

For once, Sam was grateful to have homework to do, and was working quietly at the main desk.

Third Period [03/31]

Then, he took some time to check his e-mail. It was amazing how much spam accumulated when you spent the whole weekend as a non-e-mail checking child.

Lunch [03/31]

The library was closed for lunch to everyone except the librarian, the other aides, Dean, and Dawn, if she was still coming.

Dean came in with a bag of sandwiches. "No donuts," he said with a grin as he took his usual seat.

Sam rolled his eyes and laughed, before taking the bag. "Hey, can we save these sandwiches for another day? I forgot to tell you, Dawn's bringing lunch for both of us today." He frowned softly. "Assuming she doesn't think I'm a stupidhead with cooties, of course."

"I think cooties go away once you hit teenagehood," Dean said with an attempt at a serious expression.

"I would assume that too, but after this weekend, you never know," Sam replied. "Thanks for taking care of me, by the way. I know you think it's your job and all that, but I still appreciate it."

Dean shrugged. "Been doing it since I was four; I'd have to turn a lot younger than I did this weekend to forget about that."

"Sorry I'm late," Dawn was already apologizing as she came into the library, "but I had no idea how much you guys would eat, so I made bunches."

Indeed, there was a large sack of peanut butter and bacon sandwiches (on multigrain bread, no less) for the boys. Hers had the added benefit of apples and green olives. Except for when she ran out of apple and had to substitute pear instead, but she thought that was an acceptable change.

She set the bag down on the desk, then reached into her bag and pulled out a very large colored ball. A discerning observer might notice that it looked an awful lot like the tape that had been all over the floor of 328 until this morning. "So, how was everyone's weekend?"

Sam looked at Dawn's hands, and laughed when he realized what she was holding. "Mine was good until someone tried to steal half of my bed."

"Sam didn't need as much room, because he was short!"

Fourth Period [03/31]

After lunch, Sam had gone looking for a long, engrossing book in the stacks. Now he was back at the desk, reading.

After the weekend, Sam couldn't help but give Peter a smug, amused look. "Hey."

"That depends, does it come with a tackle and a hug?" Sam asked, trying to take the coffee before Peter could pull it away.
