As soon as Sam woke up, he started remembering what had happened over the weekend, and groaned. He couldn't remember doing anything too embarrassing, aside from having a very weird conversation with Zoe, but that didn't stop him from heading straight for the library in the hope of finding things to distract him during work.

"Sorry I'm late," Dawn was already apologizing as she came into the library, "but I had no idea how much you guys would eat, so I made bunches."

Indeed, there was a large sack of peanut butter and bacon sandwiches (on multigrain bread, no less) for the boys. Hers had the added benefit of apples and green olives. Except for when she ran out of apple and had to substitute pear instead, but she thought that was an acceptable change.

She set the bag down on the desk, then reached into her bag and pulled out a very large colored ball. A discerning observer might notice that it looked an awful lot like the tape that had been all over the floor of 328 until this morning. "So, how was everyone's weekend?"

Sam looked at Dawn's hands, and laughed when he realized what she was holding. "Mine was good until someone tried to steal half of my bed."

Dean looked between the two of them. "I hadn't heard this story yet."

At least Dawn had the decency to blush, right? "I, uh, put the tape line back. Briefly. Um. For cootie defense purposes."

"Sam didn't need as much room, because he was short!"

"He's always been a bed hog though," Dean said. "Dude needs his space."

Sam leaned over and gave Dean a sharp nudge. "I am not. Dawn already knows that, don't you?" he asked, looking at her.

Huh. How to answer without having to spend the night on her own in her non-cootified bed?

"It's okay, I like it. Not that I did over the weekend, but--" she shrugged. "I grew out of it."

Sam scowled, not sure if he completely liked that answer. "As long as you like it..." he said.

"I do." She grinned and started unpacking sandwiches from the bag. "What did you get up to, Dean? I missed seeing you."
