How to Survive Your Own Cooking, Tuesday

"Welcome, everyone, to your midterm. I hope you enjoyed your week away from classes. I apologise for missing last class on such short notice -- I had a minor personal emergency to deal with that kept me away. I trust you all received the email about the midterm being delayed, and have come prepared?" Her smile carried just enough authority to show that class that, if they hadn't, they'd be dealing with her directly. ANd it wouldn't be pleasant. "As I said before, the midterm is composed of three courses: salad, soup, and entree, none of which may be recipes directly from this class. You should find anything and everything you need here in the kitchen. You have fifty minutes, at which point I will be coming around to taste your meals. Time can handwavily be enough for whatever you're making -- yay, Fandom!

"As I said, you were welcome to invite friends and classmates to join in your meals if you wish.

"You may begin."

[OCD coming up soon is up! Cook away, little minions! Cook away!]

It wasn't terribly clear what kind of salad Mikey had been trying to fabricate.

Those might have been potatoes, somewhere in there with the pickles and apple chunks.

A mixture of arugula, dandelion leaves, and romaine lettuce with dried cranberries, walnuts, and a blood orange vinegarette.

There's lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cheddar cheese, walnuts, cucumbers and strawberries. Topped with raspberry vinegarette. Yeah, basically she just took a whole bunch of things she likes separately and threw them together. What? It works!

Baby spinach, walnuts, bacon, and goat cheese with a blueberry vinaigrette. Because everything's better with bacon.

Micro greens, candied slivered almonds, blue cheese, madarin oranges with a light vnagarette.

Chad may have picked went with this asian salad recipe (http://www.grouprecipes.com/6809/asian-noodle-salad.html) more for the fact that it called for Tabasco than to represent part of his heritage.

Liir smiled pleasantly, despite some of the day's upsets. He'd missed Miss Lulu, had in fact been worried about her, and it was nice to see her again. Plus, he'd be able to give her the bag of caramels he'd made up for her.

He'd even incorporated them into his meal.

Sam just barely finished everything on time, but looked very pleased with himself in that nothing was burnt and everything smelled like he thought it should.

Chad was very proud to present his meal, which turned out very well, but this wasn't exactly a surprise for Chad, he had to admit.

Makoto, in his girl-guise of course, was... all things considered... pretty proud of what he'd made.

As long as he ignored the entree. It just hadn't wanted to turn out no matter how much attention he'd paid to it. Luckily the soup and salad seemed like they'd worked decently well.

Liir's here. With hands over his mouth. And a bunny in the pocket on his bag.

Four oranges were placed on her desk, lined up, as Liir stood in front of her desk with a faint smile. A fuzzy orange little bunny sat in a pocket on the strap of his bag, looking curiously around the room and sniffing thoughtfully.

"These are for you."

He leaned over, carefully, and moved one orange away from the others.

"I don't know what to do with them and I thought, perhaps, you might like them for something."
