"I really do," Peter said, grinning at him in a rather self-satisfied fashion. "Though you did forget to put me on your list. I may not share coffee with you now."
Now it was Sam's turn to pout. "I didn't forget you. I don't have a list. I was just...I don't know what I was on Saturday. Temporarily crazy, I think."
"I'm from New York," Peter said, handing over a donut. "Pretty much everyone I know is in therapy." Peter took a thoughtful bite of his own donut. "Except the ones who should, probably."
"Mine or theirs?" Peter joked. Taking a sip of his coffee helped him avoid eye contact, as well as avoid pointing out that thanks to his family's money he never had to worry about paying the bills.
