Karal had slept. Sort of. Regardless, he was back at the library at sunrise.

He made himself sit down with a cup of tea while he waited for everyone to arrive.

In Special Collections, this could be anything.

Willow was there, complete with donuts and Photoshopped permission slips.

"Morning." Karal gave her a tired smile. "You actually brought donughts."

"Absolutely," Willow said. "Never attempt to fight any form of evil without the proper sustenance."

"I didn't know that," he admitted. "I will remember for the future."

After finding Lana in worse shape, Chris high-tailed it over to the library. He was determined not to sleep or do anything else until he figured out what was going on and made her better.

If work is not too insane, I shall try to pop in to chat under my work AIM name.

However - links to new areas would be much appreciated as large posts tend to break my work browser :)

Karal looked up and smiled a welcome. If it was a little shaky, well, it had been a long night. "We finally think we know something. How do you feel about a trip into Special Collections?"

"We know something?" Chris's eyes grew wide and there was a hint of relief in his expression. "I'll do whatever needs to be done to reverse this and make people well."

Naomi returned to the library as early as she could so she could continue helping.

"I hoped you'd say that." The relief was clear in his voice, and he sagged forward a little. "Rodney, last night, he found a plan of the island, from when it was surveyed. There was a note on it. Three hundred years ago, there were a large number of deaths on this island, all in a short time. There's a chance the remains were never removed. If not, Peter suggested that could be the source of sickness, that the destruction of the school could have shaken something loose," he explained. "The only resources that will tell us of that time are housed in Special Collections. So that is where we must go."

Zack arrived bright and early. Well, early.

With coffee.

"Oh yes," Willow said. "There's many a badness that's been averted thanks to the assistance of a jelly donut."

"Good morning," Karal greeted. "We think we may have found something."

"How do you feel about coming into Special Collections this morning?" Karal asked him.

Sleep had done wonders for his mood (and he'd only admit that to one person), so it was a considerably less tense and less exhausted looking Fraser who found himself in the library that morning.

Seeing that Karal was busy, he waited a moment before trying to get his attention.

"Good morning," Naomi replied, "what did you find?" she asked curiously.
