Modern Feminism: From Susan B Anthony to Bea Arthur - Second Period - 09/05
As the students filed into the classroom, a certain song played on repeat until everyone was there. And then for a little while longer because it amused Deadpool so very much.
"Oh Bea, is there anything you can't do?" He sighed dreamily, gazing off at a spot that very well might be a thought bubble with her image in it, but that's neither here nor there.
"Gooooood morning kiddies! And welcome to Modern Feminism! I hope you're all here to learn about the women who made our lives so much easier. Your lives. The womenfolk. As I am of the Y chromosome persuasion." Deadpool coughed awkwardly, vaguely wondering if having a husband made him teaching this class okay with the womenfolk.
Okay, so he just liked the phrase womenfolk.
(Womenfolk. Heh.)
"Today, being the first day, is, as always, a blow off. Because if I didn't make it so, I'd have to egg my own house," He told them seriously. "So let's get started on the condescending intro activities and introduce ourselves! Tell everyone your name, why you're here, why Bea Arthur is a goddess among women, and what your strong womyn-- that's with a y, by the way-- name is."

He squinted at Demyx for a minute. "And no one is touching my car again, thanks much."

"I'm T.R. Wexler, which, by the way, is my strong woman name, but everyone calls me Turtle, because T.R. is too intimidating for most people. I'm here because one, I can finally take a class with Mister Deadpool and two, I intend to be a modern feminist, so I might as well do it properly."
Yes, she had full confidence that she could learn that from him. Go figure.
"And I still have no idea who Bea Arthur is. But hopefully that will change?"

"My name is Zarine Bashere and I am here to learn about modern feminism. I do not know who B-Arthur is, but if you say she is a goddess among women I will believed you." This last one was actually easy for Faile. "My strong woman name will be Faile. It means falcon in the old tongue."

"My name's Jude. I'm here 'cause I totally respect women - especially my girlfriend -" Now why did that sound suspiciously like 'please don't kill me'? "- Bea Arthur's just, like, made of awesome, and . . . what was the last question?"
