Construction Site: Thursday, 5/31, All Day

The site is still busy with NPC guys in hardhats and toolbelts running the heavy machinery, but an area's been set aside for the graduate workers to sort and stack some of the new loads of brick that have just been delivered. Hats, belts, eyewear and tools are provided as usual, as well as work-gloves in such fashionable color choices as orange, orange, or orange.

Workers and visitors might notice Xander eyeing the pink hardhat that might or might not have Conner's name on it now, but he isn't going to say anything. Considering Xander is now wearing the Galaxy Quest hat, who's he to judge?

Hmm - fandom pimping vs. geekish possessiveness. Isn't it nice how the brim hid Xander's eyebrow-twitch there? Yes.

"Sure." He handed it over, and grabbed one of the yellow ones for himself.

"Thanks!" Mel said with a little bounce as she put on the helmet. "So what's new with you boss man?"

"I'm helping put the school back together? Which for some reason seems oddly familiar. Almost like I blew one up in another life."

"We did eventually destroy the town," Xander offered. Which had not exactly been on purpose and you couldn't quite call it fun, but there was a certain element of satisfaction there, somewhere.

Anders came up to Xander, hard hat firmly in place, holding a drink cooler in one hand. "Special delivery for Xander Harris via BFF-courier."

"Lemonade, actually," Anders said with a chuckle. "He's stuck in the library today, so he asked if I could do him a favor. I figure making sure you don't die of dehydration is a pretty big favor."

"He got me a holographic arm-eating alien plant." It should be clear to people with eyes or reasonable parallel evolutions thereof that Xander thought this was adorable. Yes, he's a little warped.
