Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

Around dinner time on Friday, the main campfire was transformed. Leis and grass skirts were available to all. A pig was roasting kabobs. There was Hawaiian music playing from somewhere. There was also a limbo stick of doom. If you lost, you died.

Okay, that was just Drax's hope. He couldn't make it happen in reality. Woe.

[OOC: FRIDAY SPECIAL EVENTS BEGIN ANEW! Students, instructors, and townies are all welcome.

Also, I turned off notifications, zomg.]

Seely was totally there, totally shirtless, and totally dancing.

Also totally looking like just a little bit of a dork.

There may have been a "Work it!" from somewhere not the dance floor.

Cuz Jaye sure as hell isn't on it.

Seely worked it. Oh, yes, he did.

And now Aravis understood what Seely had meant when he'd described dancing to her earlier.

Which would be why she was standing off to the side and completely not laughing at him. Really. That would be rude.

Ignore the muffled noises emanating from where her hand was covering her mouth.

Seely didn't stop dancing when he caught sight of Aravis totally not laughing.

Instead he waved her towards him.

Aravis openly laughed now, and shook her head.

Seely grinned. "C'mon, it'll be fun."

"I told you, I don't dance," she insisted. "I'm enjoying my spectatorship as it stands."

"Fine, just keep watching then." Seely looked perfectly innocent as he wandered over to her.

Right up until the point he tried to pull her onto the dance floor.

Dawn had put a grass skirt on over her shorts, just to get into the spirit of the thing, and was dancing slowly to the music.

Sam had decided to throw caution to the wind and get in the mood.

Yes, that meant he was shirtless. Without anyone forcing him into it! Progress!

When he spotted Dawn, he was perfectly content to just watch her dance, letting himself get mesmerized by her pretty hip action.

Dawn turned around and spotted Sam. Then promptly tripped over her some stray sand.

Sam snickered and went over to her side. "Are you okay?" he asked.

"You should warn people before you show up looking like that," Dawn brushed sand off her knees with the skirt.

"Looking like what?" Sam asked innocently. "I look just like half the guys here."

"No, you really, really don't," Dawn told him, admiring him openly now.

Parker was dancing, but no, no grass skirt. She likes the sarong as-is.

Robin had dashed off to get his banjo and was doing his best to join in with the music.

Peter led Willow out to the dance area during one of the slower dances.

Re: Dance Area

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2007-05-19 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
Willow was more than happy to follow him. "I like the song."

"Which is good because I don't recognise it a bit," he replied, placing his hands lightly on her waist.

Re: Dance Area

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2007-05-19 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
Willow moved closer. She was surprised to find that her heart sped up a little. Almost as though it was the first time she and Peter had done this.

"I won't spoil the ending for you then," Willow said. "But it's a good one."

Re: Dance Area

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2007-05-19 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
He smiled down at her, hands shifting a little farther onto her back as they started to dance. "I'm glad I picked the right song," he said softly.

Re: Dance Area

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2007-05-19 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm glad you wanted to dance with me." There was a light blush on Willow's cheeks.
