Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

Around dinner time on Friday, the main campfire was transformed. Leis and grass skirts were available to all. A pig was roasting kabobs. There was Hawaiian music playing from somewhere. There was also a limbo stick of doom. If you lost, you died.

Okay, that was just Drax's hope. He couldn't make it happen in reality. Woe.

There are grass skirts here. Wear them to dance to the island music. Do not try to smoke them. They are not that kind of grass.

And now Aravis understood what Seely had meant when he'd described dancing to her earlier.

Which would be why she was standing off to the side and completely not laughing at him. Really. That would be rude.

Ignore the muffled noises emanating from where her hand was covering her mouth.

Seely didn't stop dancing when he caught sight of Aravis totally not laughing.

Instead he waved her towards him.

Right up until the point he tried to pull her onto the dance floor.

Dawn had put a grass skirt on over her shorts, just to get into the spirit of the thing, and was dancing slowly to the music.

Sam had decided to throw caution to the wind and get in the mood.

Yes, that meant he was shirtless. Without anyone forcing him into it! Progress!

When he spotted Dawn, he was perfectly content to just watch her dance, letting himself get mesmerized by her pretty hip action.

Dawn turned around and spotted Sam. Then promptly tripped over her some stray sand.

"You should warn people before you show up looking like that," Dawn brushed sand off her knees with the skirt.

Peter led Willow out to the dance area during one of the slower dances.

Willow moved closer. She was surprised to find that her heart sped up a little. Almost as though it was the first time she and Peter had done this.

"I won't spoil the ending for you then," Willow said. "But it's a good one."

He smiled down at her, hands shifting a little farther onto her back as they started to dance. "I'm glad I picked the right song," he said softly.
