Sam was treating himself to coffee and a bagel as he went to belatedly, omg open the library.
The coffee hadn't quite taken effect yet, so Sam was still trying to wake up.
Then it was time for homework. Sam couldn't help but hope that Matilda would teach History again tomorrow.
Then Sam got on the computer, and started looking at college websites, if only so he could be prepared the next time the topic came up with Dean, if it did at all.
For some reason, west coast schools seemed far more appealing than east coast schools.
The library was closed for lunch, to everyone except aides and the librarian.
Sam started up his Sims game, just to see how the characters were doing.
It took five minutes for Alec and Dean to get into the hot tub, and Sam quickly turned the game off.

So, it was back to looking for college information.
Sam did a quick sweep through the library to make sure everything was in order before he closed up.

It had took a while for Dean to psych himself up to go talk to Sammy about this whole leaving thing again, so it was after lunch before he headed to the library.
"Hey Sammy," he said tentatively when he came in.

Dean didn't seem to be as annoyed as he'd been the last time they spoke, so Sam was taking that as a good sign.
"Hey," he said, almost glad to get away from the computer. "What's up?"

Dean shrugged. "Not much. Just... I didn't like where we left things in Ethics yesterday."
"Me neither," Sam replied. "Maybe you shouldn't have walked away before I could try to explain things better."
After the entertaining meeting with Wilson, Briana had finally found the building with all of the books. Entering the place, her focus was immediately drawn to the very pretty boy behind the counter.
"We already got detention once for fighting in Ethics. Really didn't want to make it a habit."
Sam gave Phoebe a friendly smile when he saw her come in. "Hey, how's it going?" he asked.
"Anakin might not let us talk to each other at all if we kept that up," Sam said.
A lovely voice to match the pretty face.
She searched her memory, and nodded. This one was a friend of her host's.
"I'm doing pretty well. How about you?"

She figured that asking him if he knew where the spell books were located would be a bad idea right now.
She leaned against the counter. "Hey, I'm curious about the area around here... Fandom. Have you heard any stories about strange artifacts or starnge stones?"
She was giving him quite the assessing gaze. Oh yes, he was definitely someone that it would be lovely to play with. Maybe Isobel would let them keep some of the pretty boys from here when they had their new power...

"Yeah, so I thought walking off was the better part of not getting trouble."
"Yeah, I guess," Sam said. "It probably wouldn't do either of us any good to end the conversation there though, would it?"
"It would leave a bad taste in my mouth if we do," Dean admitted.
Sam squirmed a little under her gaze, and looked at her curiously. "Strange artifacts? In Fandom?" he asked. "I don't know of any specific stories, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if there were some. We certainly have enough strange things around here already."
She leaned her arms on the counter and smiled at him in a way that was definitely more than friendly. "It would be very helpful if I could get information about anything like that."
