Sam was treating himself to coffee and a bagel as he went to ~~belatedly, omg~~ open the library.

The coffee hadn't quite taken effect yet, so Sam was still trying to wake up.

Tori was up early, provided she didn't have any classes today and she didn't have to open up the bookstore until ten. She was bright and cheery and on a mission to find some books.

Sam was sitting at the counter with his eyes closed, but he snapped to sort-of attention when he heard someone come in. "Hey Tori," he said. "How's it going?"

"Hey Sam." Tori smirked. "Did I wake you?" She teased. "Pretty good. Just stopped by to see if I could find some reading material, while at work." Which might seem funny since she worked at a bookstore.

"No, I was totally awake. Except for how I really wasn't," he said, laughing. "Where are you working these days?"

Tori laughed. "Oh okay, I was afraid you might be missing out on some valuable sleep." She joked. "I'm working at Aereopagitica. It's a lot of fun." She really did enjoy her job.

"So, you want books to take to the bookstore?" Sam laughed. "That won't get you in trouble with the owner, will it?"

Tori grinned sheepishly. "Yeah, as silly as that sounds. It's really for research purposes." She shook her head. "No. It won't."

"Ooh, what kind of research?" Sam asked, perking up. "Can I help you find anything?"

"It's just something I've been thinking about possibly as a teaching subject." Tori admitted. "Know anything about samurai or ninjas?"

"I know that ninjas have an eternal feud going on with pirates," Sam teased. "And that Miho is a very, very good ninja."

Tori laughed. "Hrm, I guess I could make that a worthy topic for a potential class." She smiled brightly. "Maybe Miho would like to be a guest speaker?" ~~Funny how Tori doesn't know she doesn't speak.~~ It was thought. She winked. "Would you, by any chance, happen to have any books here on samurai or ninjas?"

"I'm sure we have books on both," Sam said, going to the catalog on the computer. "What kind of class is this going to be?"

"I'm glad to hear that." Tori smiled. "Maybe an ancient civilization course or a history course. I haven't completely worked it out yet." She admitted. "But it's been on my mind for a while now."
