Superheroing- Tuesday, March 20- 2nd period

The students met in the classroom today thanks to handwavy notification by E-mail. "Sorry about that," Captain Liberty greets them. "Couldn't get the stupid simulation to work. So that'll be next week, and on the plus side, at least you don't have to wear your costumes, right?" It might be clear she's a little bit frustrating about the stupid simulation.

"Every villain has a plan. Usually they're diabolical, or at least they're called diabolical while the superhero's standing there going 'Seriously?' You get used to it," she assures them. "These plans are most likely things like trying to throw down some wrath on a city by using some sort of machine created by some scientist with too much time on his hands, or trying to carve your name into the moon. They don't always make sense, which is why you have to slap the bad guy's hand and say "NO", because people should not suffer from their overblown stupidity.

"Today you're going to pair up again, and each of you will come up with some sort of diabolical plan. Be as creative as possible- the real bad guys will be. The other person will try to find holes in your plan and figure out how to foil you. Then you get to switch off. You know the drill by now."

And while they're working, she'll spend her time stewing about technology.

[So after finally getting class together... AppleWorks crashed and I lost it. I give up. Sorry, guys.]

"Hey Cassie." Miley moved over to sit by her. "What's your evil plan?"

Cassie thought for a second. "I'm going to use my evil powers to singlehandedly destroy the greatest heroic team of all time by using their own vanity against them and pick them off one by one," she said.

"Okay. That seems like a good plan." Miley nodded. "How do you plan to exploit their vanity?"

"Well, you make the alcholic appear drunk in front of the UN, you make the warrior think he's fighting a war that he'd be stupid enough to sacrifice himself for, and then you make... yeah. That sort of thing," Cassie said, less than jovial.

"There's an alcoholic superhero? Isn't that a bad example to kids?" Miley asked. "I think the second one would be hard to do."

"Hookay, we'll try it the old-fashioned way then," Peter said. He gave her an encouraging motion. "Go on. Diabolical at me."

Katara grinned and tried to mimic Zuko's speech. "I shall capture the Avatar! And then my father will take me back from exile, and the Fire Nation shall defeat the other three and rule the world!"

She wasn't very good at being diabolical.

Jude sat there and steepled his fingers evilly.

Teddy sat down across from Jude. It was only slightly less awkward than getting paired up with Cassie.

Miley was talking with her partner when Cassie told her that Teddy had called her a traitor. She marched over to him and glared at Teddy, hands on her hips.

"Where do you get off calling Cassie a traitor? That's just really mean and you should be ashamed of yourself. She's having a really hard time."

Teddy froze, slowly turning away from Jude to face Miley. "Excuse me, how is this any of your business?"

"It's my business because..." Miley didn't have an answer so she just glared harder. "Never mind how it's my business. You should just be nicer to Cassie! She's not having a good week."

Will grabbed a seat, and tried her best to look like one of those Evil Overlords. She practiced up on her Evil Cackling (TM) and Feelings Hurting Stares (TM) while waiting for a partner.

Peter noticed the Cackling and Stares and had to question it. "Are you getting into character or is the island being weird to you and driving you mad?"

"No, no, just me being weird. I think it's like one of the rules of being a supervillain that you have to get the basic evil laugh and glares down pat before you can start hatching evil schemes."
